I have like alot of other people seen all the Brady episodes but id have to say the episode that really stuck in my heart was in the 1st season, I can't remember the name of the episode but it was The locket, where alice gave jan that locket and when she lost it I really felt bad for jan, and I almost wanted to weep when alice told jan it was her that gave jan the locket and why she did it.

Something about the 1st season episodes that seemed nicer to me than the rest.

The locket episode was good. When I was a kid I remember liking the season 1 episode where Bobby plans to run away, and Carol offers to go along with him.

My choice for the most touching episode was "Father of the Year", also from Season 1. It was so sweet how Marcia went to so much trouble to write the Father of the Year essay, only to get grounded after she snuck out in the middle of the night to the mailbox, otherwise it wouldn't be postmarked on time!! I just melted when Mike finally learned the truth. Maureen McCormick and Robert Reed both turned in excellent performances. I actually welled up. Yes, I know I'm a sappy geek. ;) The Bobby running away episode is another good one ("The only 'steps' in this house are those" - pointing to the staircase).

The ones that choke me up are: the locket one, the one where Bobby wants to run away and Carol is willing to go with him, and the one where Alice leaves and the kids find her working in the diner.

But if I had to choose, "Father of the Year" is the most touching.

Also, the scene on the front porch where Peter finally admits he broke the vase is very touching. Carol's facial expression is so real and compassionate and Mike's reaction is good too.

My favorite one is Father of the year as well. Also Every boy does it once.Also Goodbye Alice Hello. One moment that for some reason I get emotional is Bobby's Hero. When Bobby likes Jesse James. When Bobby walks home, and that man is in the living room. Bobby says I wrote a whole paper about Jesse James. That man says I wrote a whole book about Jesse James. Only to me he wasn't a hero. Here is the emotional part, He says Jessse James killed my father. I always feel something then. Bobby says I can't believe that. His parents tell him it's true. Then when Bobby has that dream about Jesse James killing his family. This was a emotional episode. Also the scene in Romeo Juliet after Marcia gets fired from the play and she runs crying into her mom's arms

I've always liked this one, it chokes me up every time.
Season 1, Episode 10: Every Boy Does It Once
Original Air Date: 5 December 1969After Bobby watches a television adaptation of "Cinderella," stepsisters Marcia and Jan tease him, then Carol asks for his help in sweeping the chimney. Bobby reasons that what he just saw on TV was correct: All stepmothers and stepsisters are evil. So, feeling unloved and unwanted, he decides to run away. Mike and Carol find out and come up with a plan to stop Bobby.

"Will the real Jan Brady please stand up?" from Season 2 (Jan appears at a party in a dark wig). I really felt sorry for Jan in this episode. I thought Eve's acting was really good, she got my emotions going (so to speak).

It would definitely have to be the scene (I didn't like the episode too much on the whole) in the Christmas episode where the kids are all feeling really bad about Carol's voice, and taking about skipping Christmas. The scene where Alice tells them how wrong that would be makes me cry EVERY time I see it. I thought it was a poignant, beautiful moment in the show.

Also, as some other posters have said, when Carol insists on running away with Bobby, that chokes me up, as does the locket explanation and the Juliet hysteria moment. I think all of these scenes were well thought out and executed. Go, Bradys, go!!! :thumbsup:

They all touched my heart in a way. But what really affected me was an episode from the 1990 drama, "The Brady's" called "Bottom's Up", where Marcia became an alcoholic. And in the end, she said she was getting help, and gave a speech on CIndy's radio show.

The Locket episode

The one where Bobby runs away is supposed to be touching, but I can't stand him on that episode! He needed his butt whipped for being a crybaby who feels sorry for himself.
I guarantee Ward Cleaver would have told him, "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!".... It would have taught the little turd a lesson!

I do love the Brady Bunch though! It's just that Bobby is a little punk sometimes

I'm not sure of the episode, but it is the one where Jan sells her bike to get the money to retake the portrait of the kids, that was going to be an anniversary gift to Carol.

Mike tells Jan at the end of the episode that she will not be allowed to ride her bike for a week, and Jan replies back 'not my bike Dad'. Mike says something like 'Sorry Jan, no bike for a week'. Jan then tells Mike about how she had to sell it to pay for the portrait. The look on Mike's face then says a thousand words...and after a pause, agrees no punishment is neccesary. And then he even suggests that maybe they can purchase the bike back again.

Just a great scene, that always chokes me up.

Everyboy does it once, Christmas episode, and Sorry Right Number especially when Mike is talking to the multi - millionaire. then the operator ask for 10 cents. and Mike explains the pay phone to Mr. Crawford says I have 3 teenagers of my own.

also the one scene in the first episode when they are getting ready for the wedding. Mike asks Bobby where did you put your moms picture. Bobby puts in a drawer Mike tells Bobby I dont want you stop thinking about your real mom.

I agree that The Father of the Year is touching, especially when Mike realizes what Marcia's been doing all along. I think I mentioned this a long time ago, but I always feel sorry for Peter when no one shows up for his party--even though he was being a "real little stinker." :lol: In the part where he says "It's going to be a real swell party whether any of my brothers or sisters shows up or not" I can feel his pain. :(

"Father of the Year" takes on even more meaning now in light of the problems Maureen McCormick is having with her real-life father. :(
