Like the Full House House in San Fran, Cosby Show Brownstone in NY, or the Brandy Bunch House in LA

back in 1988, on a trip to California I saw the mansion where the Clampetts lived in "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES".

I think I saw THE GOLDEN GIRLS house years ago once, I don't reallly remember.
On a trip to Boston once, I saw THE BULL & FINCH, the bar that CHEERS was based on (and they used to use shots of the exterior).
I only saw the exterior, though, and from a distance.

It's not a sitcom, but on the NBC studio tour in 1998, we saw Marlena's penthouse from Days of Our Lives.

Saw the Empty Nest and Golden Girls house when I was in Florida. (Well, the fake fronts of them on the lot anyway).

I have been tempted to check out the Brady home in the Studio City/North Hollywood area, since I live near by.

They've changed it to keep away people like you. People actually asked for the Brady's.

I think it is absolutely find to sightsee around sitcom homes. I think these people should realize they're going to have visitors. I don't think anything is a matter in snapping a picture and briefly looking. Just my $.02. :)

If you had a house used as a TV location, would you change the appearance to avoid sightseers?

I doubt I'd make the purchase. Like I said, if they buy a house that had that much publicity, they should realize they're going to have visitors.

The white Victorian house in Minnesota used for the exterior shots of MTM was painted chocolate brown years ago by the owners. That was years ago; I have no clue what it looks like now.
