Rosie by any other name just as obnoxious

Could “The View” replace one loud-mouthed Rosie with another? That’s the buzz from the Big Apple where Roseanne Barr has emerged as the chat show’s top contender to replace the overly opinionated Rosie O’Donnell.

Rosie leaving The View:
“She’s a piece of work, she’s a character, she says what’s on her mind and she’s funny,” an ABC insider told the New York Post. “They’re missing strong personalities on that show, and that’s what they’re going to need if they want to keep it going.” But a rep for Roseanne insists her client hasn’t been approached about the co-host’s position.

“It’s almost like that rumor that spread last month about how she was going to be on ‘Desperate Housewives,’ ” the rep told the Post. However, during an appearance on “Larry King Live” last week, the former “Roseanne” star said she’s not looking for the job. But if she was, her price would be $10 million “like Rosie,” she joked.
....

“It’s going to be hard for them to follow Rosie,” an industry spy said. “Roseanne could be the only one capable of pulling it off.”

LOVE THEM BOTH, BUT I'M GLAD THEY ARE CONSIDERING ROSEANNE TO REPLACE ROSIE. GOOD CHOICE.

While I'm no big fan of Roseanne, I'd watch her any day over Rosie. That is, if I had any interest in watching the View at all. :p

I think Roseanne would be a problem for the show. Rosie had her talk-show as a springboard to get her on "The View." If she hadn't done that, she wouldn't have been on "The View."

Roseanne and Barbara Walters together... that would be... ummm, interesting.

Roseanne was on Larry King the day this news broke abt Rosie leaving the View. Did anyone catch her on there?

Roseanne stated she was not fit for the job. She said the replacement should be someone young and black.
