Did anybody else think their wives were a bit foolish for still wanting them back after all they did?

In the case of Bo Tanner, he gets married to 7 or 8 different women, and is probably responsible for the trashing of their home and church, yet Debby was still like "Oh, I still love him and would take him back"

Then in the case of Scott Hill, he fritters away not only his fortune, but his wife's fortune, then abandons his entire family. He comes back to his family, but only because a couple of people in town ragged on him, and it wasn't his own doing. He didn't seem to be very happy to be reunited with his family, rather bland if you ask me. The ultimate insult, is when instead of him going to Massachussets, he makes him entire family come to him way out in Idaho. Oye vey.

Well I agree with you about the Bo Tanner case. I mean Bo not only stole all their savings but he also was married to other women while he was married to her (btw did anyone else think his wife resembled Heather Langenkamp?). As far as the Scott Hill case, I don't really agree. I don't have any sympathy for Scott Hill himself and it was certainly a cowardly way to deal with problems by leaving his family but I thought his wife was great. She was understandably stressed in the initial segment at his departure but she was clearly elated in the update and didn't care what he had done in the past in regards to finances and was just overjoyed that he was back with her. That is real love.

Now that I think about it, YEAH. She is also a lot like Heather Langenkamp's character in "just the ten of us", being very religious. I used to be really into that show.

I am curious if anybody knows if this case was ever solved? and does anybody recall what year this took place or was aired?

I saw the program when it aired but am drawin a blank as to what year that was, if anybody knows of a way I can purchase a copy of the program I would sure appreciate it, I've been searching all of "unsolved mysteries" website and can't even find a way of contacting them,,,, chock it up to my being computer illiterate I guess,,, any help?

I sent you a pm with some info about his case. I think the segment aired on 11/27/91 although I am unsure if that was the first airing or a rerun.

I've got to get myself a wife like this - I could get into all kinds of shenanigans and she'd still stick by me.

Sad thing is, it's not too hard to find a woman like this. "Queen of Denial, buying all those alibis. Queen of denial, floating down a river of lies..." That describes a large percentage of women, sadly.

It's interesting you both (wiseguy and cd) brought up the religious connection.

The segment reports that Mrs. "Tanner" was a "deeply religious woman" who "won" her man "over to the Lord". Right. I have known a lot of "deeply religious women" who have "won men over to the Lord" (when it was made clear to them that they would not marry anyone but a religious man - talk about coersion!), and usually they are pretty "religious" until shortly after the wedding. Then there is no need to continue to play the part or put on the show - they have landed their woman.

I don't know how many times people have to make the same mistake before their fellow members of the human race learn. It seems they have to make the mistake for themselves before they "get it". (I should say it seems "WE" have to make the same mistake, because I have had my moments, sadly).

Yes they did find him shortly after the segment aired. They showed a very sweet interview with him and his family also. ��
