View Full Version : The 2007 NFL Draft: How did your team do??? Brian Damage 04-28-2007, 11:11 AM The Oakland Raiders are on the clock :) Dutabi84 04-28-2007, 11:22 AM I wonder what the Vikings do if Brady Quinn slips down to their spot..because last year, they traded up in the 2nd round to grab Tarvarus Jackson. But all of a sudden, it is possible that Brady Quinn, someone who could be a franchise quarterback for years to come, could fall in their lap. I'd really like to see Peterson fall to their spot..if not, I want them to trade down. Brian Damage 04-28-2007, 11:35 AM I wonder what the Vikings do if Brady Quinn slips down to their spot..because last year, they traded up in the 2nd round to grab Tarvarus Jackson. But all of a sudden, it is possible that Brady Quinn, someone who could be a franchise quarterback for years to come, could fall in their lap. I'd really like to see Peterson fall to their spot..if not, I want them to trade down. Somehow I think Quinn will go to the Browns. Dutabi84 04-28-2007, 12:31 PM Unbelievable. Detroit takes another WR. Dutabi84 04-28-2007, 12:42 PM Joe Thomas? Wow, wasn't expecting that. It's gonna start getting interesting right now. Chelsea 04-28-2007, 12:46 PM Unbelievable. Detroit takes another WR. I think Johnson's a bit more than "another WR" That said, if *he's* a bust, this'll probably scare the Lions off of WR's forever. TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 12:49 PM Somehow I think Quinn will go to the Browns. Wrong-lol The Browns went with a Offensive Tackle Dutabi84 04-28-2007, 12:53 PM I think Johnson's a bit more than "another WR" That said, if *he's* a bust, this'll probably scare the Lions off of WR's forever. Yes, but suddenly they absolutely have to do something with Mike Williams. GARFIELDKOOL 04-28-2007, 01:18 PM Laron Landry. I preferred a defensive linemen, but I'lll take him. TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 01:23 PM Laron Landry. I preferred a defensive linemen, but I'lll take him. ******** A$$ Chris Berman just said-"The redskins Theme song is Hail to the Redskins and they draft a guy with the name Landry? He is so f*cking ******** Chelsea 04-28-2007, 01:52 PM WHAT THE F***!?!?! Miami DIDN'T take Quinn?! TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 01:56 PM WHAT THE F***!?!?! Miami DIDN'T take Quinn?! Yeah that was kind of ********, They don't have a YOUNG QB and they PASS?-lol BTW: Quinn is not smiling anymore-lol Chelsea 04-28-2007, 01:57 PM ...I could see Quinn going to Green Bay, at this point. Chelsea 04-28-2007, 01:58 PM Yeah that was kind of ********, They don't have a YOUNG QB and they PASS?-lol BTW: Quinn is not smiling anymore-lol If I were in his shoes I'd be more than a little upset, so I think he's handling it pretty well. GARFIELDKOOL 04-28-2007, 01:59 PM Quinn is looking disappointed that he's being passed on. Chelsea 04-28-2007, 02:02 PM The four teams that there's whispers on taking Quinn are Green Bay, St Louis, and Jacksonvillle.....maybe Carolina, but they've got Carr and Delhomme I'll asplode in happiness if he goes to the Jags. I've made clear that I don't think Leftwich OR Garrard are long-term reliable QBs, and I think Quinn could drag Jacksonville kicking and screaming into success. Chelsea 04-28-2007, 02:05 PM I'm extremely happe for Louisville's Okoye. He's a great guy, wonderful story - I'm a huge fan of Louisville anyway - and he's a quality player that Houston could feasibly get two decades of quality work from. Hopefully. Good job, Houston. (Youngest player EVER drafted, FWIW. 19) TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 02:11 PM Quinn is looking disappointed that he's being passed on. I have never been more entertained by the draft in my life because Quinn had that-"I'm going to be some Team's franchise QB" look on his face and to see him still sitting there is funny as sh*t-lol TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 02:26 PM They have MOVED brady Quinn and his family to a private room so he can get away from the cameras-lol Damm, that was the thing that was keeping me TUNED IN TO THE DRAFT-lol GARFIELDKOOL 04-28-2007, 02:27 PM They have MOVED brady Quinn and his family to a private room so he can get away from the cameras-lol Damm, that was the thing that was keeping me TUNED IN TO THE DRAFT-lol He must have been crying. LOL TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 02:29 PM He must have been crying. LOL He stopped smiling after the 9th pick-lol He was all smiles in the first 8, especially the first 5 Mr. Television 04-28-2007, 02:34 PM He must have been crying. LOL He looked like he was about too. lol TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 02:36 PM He looked like he was about too. lol Now they are saying Carolina or Jacksonville may take Quinn Chelsea 04-28-2007, 02:44 PM Trade - Jets just traded with Carolina. They're wanting a corner, now - both of the big corners are still on the board, ergo TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 02:46 PM Trade - Jets just traded with Carolina. They're wanting a corner, now. I was wondering what all that cheering was about-lol even Chris Mortenson was like_WTF??? Chelsea 04-28-2007, 02:46 PM Carolina trades R1 and R6 picks for Jets R1, R2, and R5 picks. Chelsea 04-28-2007, 02:53 PM Jets take Revis TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 02:56 PM Jets take Revis Well Pittsburgh picks next and we ll know they don't need Brady Quinn-lol See that's the thing, if he falls into the 20's that would be very devastating to him because he had his sights set on being a Franchise QB. No he will go some where and be a back up-lol mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:00 PM They have MOVED brady Quinn and his family to a private room so he can get away from the cameras-lol Damm, that was the thing that was keeping me TUNED IN TO THE DRAFT-lol Quinn is a wimp...lol I hate him already, the giants would be a perfect fit for him.    mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:03 PM Ahhhhh yes theres my girl Rachel Nichols........ Well this will still be the BIG STORY of the Draft because Quinn will be a BACKUP-lol I don;t think he was expecting to play the back up role, do the damage is done mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:20 PM Well this will still be the BIG STORY of the Draft because Quinn will be a BACKUP-lol I don;t think he was expecting to play the back up role, do the damage is done yep depending on where he goes he still has a shot to be a starter the one thing he has lost for sure is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:22 PM don't be surprised if the doggy dogs trade back up into the 1st round & grab quinn. I know my beloved eagles are looking to acquire more picks so that might be a possibllity if quinn is still there at 26 TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 03:26 PM don't be surprised if the doggy dogs trade back up into the 1st round & grab quinn. I know my beloved eagles are looking to acquire more picks so that might be a possibllity if quinn is still there at 26 Broncos just traded up to get the 17th pick. We know they don't need Quinn. You know the Eagles don;t need Quinn-lol mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:26 PM the broncos gave up alot to move up 4 spots mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:28 PM Broncos just traded up to get the 17th pick. We know they don't need Quinn. You know the Eagles don;t need Quinn-lol I want the eagles to grab merrieweather from miami, i wouldn't mind greg ollsen either (especially since I am friendly with him lol) Chelsea 04-28-2007, 03:28 PM the broncos gave up alot to move up 4 spots Yes, they certainly did. Fools - Jacksonville's great at picking in the later rounds. Probably better than the early rounds. And for *4* spots. mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:29 PM Yes, they certainly did. :-) I know they had 2 3rds but to give up a 3rd & a 6th to move up 4 spots to me seems a bit much. Chelsea 04-28-2007, 03:29 PM I know they had 2 3rds but to give up a 3rd & a 6th to move up 4 spots to me seems a bit much. You won't see me complaining about it one single bit! mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:31 PM You won't see me complaining about it one single bit! me neither, not my team...lol TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 03:34 PM You won't see me complaining about it one single bit! Up until the Trade, I thought Brady Quinn was going to Jacksonville-lol mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:36 PM Up until the Trade, I thought Brady Quinn was going to Jacksonville-lol who knows where he is going.....the jags could still take him with the 21st pick...that is if the giants don't take him with the 20th pick lol:lol: mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:37 PM both of the players I want are still on the board, but I am already prepared for a letdown. Actually another guy I like is that lb from penn state paul puzluzny Chelsea 04-28-2007, 03:38 PM The Titans won't take Quinn. Absolutely not. They'll either trade with KC/Chicago or take someone else. Giants could take him, if they have no faith in Eli. A trade with KC or Chicago could happen. Jacksonville *could* take him. It's definitely possible. (Or, they could trade with KC/Chicago.) Dallas *could* take him, but probably won't. KC wouldn't trade up one spot though. Chicago could, though. Brady Quinn will be off the board NO later than KC's regular pick. If he's still left and no one takes him, KC *WILL* TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 03:38 PM who knows where he is going.....the jags could still take him with the 21st pick...that is if the giants don't take him with the 20th pick lol:lol: Actually that I don't think that would be too bad a pick if Quin went to the Giants because Eli is not proven yet so might as well look forward to the future mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:40 PM Actually that I don't think that would be too bad a pick if Quin went to the Giants because Eli is not proven yet so might as well look forward to the future I agree...trade one overhyped overrated qb for another lol Chelsea 04-28-2007, 03:41 PM Heck, as someone on ESPN mentioned, it's not entirely unrealistic a team like the Browns could trade their 08 1st round pick to draft Quinn. mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:41 PM i kind of agree with Seth, it could very well be the chiefs if the jags don't take him TVFactFan 04-28-2007, 03:41 PM The Titans won't take Quinn. Absolutely not. They'll either trade with KC/Chicago or take someone else. Giants could take him, if they have no faith in Eli. A trade with KC or Chicago could happen. Jacksonville *could* take him. If he's still left and no one takes him, KC *WILL* Seth if the Titans have VINCE YOUNG, why would they take Quinn?-lol U are telling us something we already know Chelsea 04-28-2007, 03:43 PM Seth if the Titans have VINCE YOUNG, why would they take Quinn?-lol U are telling us something we already know I was just going down the line, and just wanted to get that in there. - The only way Quinn is going at this pick is if KC or Chicago trade a 07 pick, or Miami or Cleveland trade their 08 pick. Chelsea 04-28-2007, 03:45 PM I love that SportsCenter ad with Ortiz putting on the Yankees cap as the Red Sox' mascot walks by. mriggles 04-28-2007, 03:53 PM And The Vagiants Take........................... No doubt Tony Dungy will be on the telephone with Jim Tressel. Of course, the Colts have been good with regional talent: Anthony Gonzalez is from Cleveland(OL Tarik Glenn's birth city) and Quinn Pitcock is from Piqua, 30 miles north of Dayton. Perhaps if Ohio State RB Antonio Pittman is available on day two of the draft, the Colts might get him, too. They can also add another LB and DB on day two. Scoobiedoo30 04-28-2007, 11:59 PM :trio The NFL Draft will start up again at 10:00 am Central Time Brian Damage 04-29-2007, 01:18 AM what the f are they making a trade with those a holes for??   LOL LOL LOL LMAO!!!!!!! LOL freshprinceofLA 04-29-2007, 02:08 AM Goodell seemed nervous during the draft. I heard him mess up one time he called this the 2000 draft when he was announcing brady quinn. anyways I like what my cowboys have done trading thier pick this year for the browns 1st rd pick next year was a good idea cause the browns will probably be in the top 10 or 5 in the picks next year. Another team I like the chargers got some good picks they got a pretty good safety and a good WR. Although i'm still scratching my head over dallas picking spencer??? But I think he'll be good. Chelsea 04-29-2007, 10:54 AM I'm curious to see who Oakland will draft with that extra pick in the 4th that they just got from the Patriots for Randy Moss. I'm expecting Oakland to take a certain Louisville RB in the their initial 4th round pick (#100), but that's just my own irrational hopes, regardless of any actual need by the team. What we have here is an example of a losing franchise helping a winning franchise became better-lol Dutabi84 04-29-2007, 11:05 AM What we have here is an example of a losing franchise helping a winning franchise became better-lol First they trade a 4th rounder for a WR drafted in the first, then they trade a guy drafted in the first round, traded a first rounder to get him a couple years ago, and trade him away for a 4th. JaMarcus Russell has to be pretty disappointed about this. Chelsea 04-29-2007, 11:06 AM LOS ANGELES Raiders?!!?!?!? JaMarcus Russell has to be pretty disappointed about this. The Pats are my SB pick in April-lol Chelsea 04-29-2007, 11:09 AM Woohoo! And Russell has a quality RB to hand off too, giving the Raiders a running game. Dutabi84 04-29-2007, 11:10 AM The Pats are my SB pick in April-lol Moss should be pretty happy about it, too. Chelsea 04-29-2007, 11:13 AM Jacksonville's taken Adam Podlesh, the punter for Maryland. Wasn't expecting that - they not only have Chris Hanson (30 - not an old age for a punter) and Tony Yelk who they signed in the offseason. Chelsea 04-29-2007, 11:15 AM Tampa traded to Minnesota, who have picked....Brian Robison, the DE from Texas. I'll try to keep posting updates through the 4th round, but I've got other things to watch today. I'll try to keep posting updates through the 4th round, but I've got other things to watch today. I use the newspapers for the 4th round and after picks-lol Chelsea 04-29-2007, 11:24 AM Eh forget it. Not worth the effort. Chelsea 04-29-2007, 11:29 AM Looks like the Punter Jacksonville drafted is alarmingly fast, and amazingly accurate, and will probably allow them to do fake punts, etc. (If you want to buy into ESPN analysis anyway). Interesting. Dutabi84 04-29-2007, 11:30 AM Tampa traded to Minnesota, who have picked....Brian Robison, the DE from Texas. Alright! A guy that can throw the shot put pretty far, and jump pretty high...hopefully this translates to sacking lots of quarterbacks. Brian Damage 04-29-2007, 12:07 PM The Pats are my SB pick in April-lol Bold prediction---lol Scoobiedoo30 04-29-2007, 12:09 PM :trio did The New Orleans Saint's pick yet this Morning mriggles 04-29-2007, 01:08 PM I am happy with Aaron Ross...very happy. you should be, he is a great prospect, but I think the biggest need on that " team" is left tackle Brian Damage 04-29-2007, 01:10 PM you should be, he is a great prospect, but I think the biggest need on that " team" is left tackle True, but if Ross was available, you can't pass him up for somebody who played for a division II A school. bandito 04-29-2007, 01:48 PM The Steelers had a chance to take Leon Hall and who did they pick? Lawrence Thimmons, a LB that played only one season. What were they thinking?? GARFIELDKOOL 04-29-2007, 01:57 PM ******** A$$ Chris Berman just said-"The redskins Theme song is Hail to the Redskins and they draft a guy with the name Landry? He is so f*cking ******** Not only that, we drafted a guy in the second round named, "Dallas" Startz. LOL Dynomite 04-29-2007, 02:50 PM WR Anthony Gonzalez, DT Quinn Pitcock and now, WR/HB Roy Hall(he's from Lyndhurst, OH, outside of Cleveland). He's drafted to the Colts, along with Alabama State DB Michael Coe. Now, with one remaining draft pick left, coming up in round 7, we need to get an RB to replace the departed Dominic Rhodes. Clearly, after winning Super Bowl XLI, the Colts are reloading their roster through the draft. Dynomite 04-29-2007, 03:21 PM Yes, but offensively mostly. They lost a lot on defense this year. Are you sure about that? You had better look at this link, first: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/draftTracker?Team=11&year=2007&refreshRate=60 So far, the Colts have drafted mostly defense, especially Ohio State DT Quinn Pitcock. Look at the link, click on the Colts' draft picks, then get back with me. As of the 7th and final round of this year's draft, the Colts now have a total of 7 defensive draft picks, rounding it out with the addition of Texas Tech DL Keyunta Dawson. The Colts eliminated a need for a FB when they resigned specialist Dan Klecko, and my guess is primary FB James Mungro will return. For an offense-oriented team, defense was obviously the story in this year's draft, but there's the upcoming supplemental draft as well as college free agency to possibly address some further needs. The top 2 picks were offense. That is where the stronger talent is at. |
