Does any of the followers of COEF know what ever happened to the actress Miyoshi Umeki who portrayed Mrs. Livingston on the show?...I have made a number of inquiries about her, and really only found the biographic information on this webpage...If anyone has further information, let me know...Especially if there is a new feature film in the works...It would be nice to see her again...Loved her in Flower Drum Song and Sayonara...Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Wolverine:

Hey I know this isn't going to help you one bit but I will tell you what I know. Miyoshi Umeki is a mystery. She retired and somebody went to go visit her or something and they found the whole house empty. It's like she vanished without a trace... So I would like to add Miyoshi to The Mystery List along with the actor who played Rollo on the tv show "Sanford and Son".

I had a reply to my e-mail to Brandon Cruz regarding my inquiry about Miyoshi Umeki (Mrs. Livingston)...He said he had not been in contact with her for some time, but he felt she was retired and living in Hawaii...The downside was he thought she was suffering from Alzheimers...If anyone has any additional information on Miyoshi, please share it with the message board.
Thanks,
Ed

I have heard she is a really reclusive person and private at one time while living in Santa Monica I think - she had no telephone.

I remember seeing a Brandon Cruz interview on The Today Show where he said that she basically ran away from him one time when he approached her on the street.
