I have had it up to here with this stupid, useless TOYS that the poor, pathetic excuse of a company by the name of Hewlett-Packard likes to market. This one above being a prime example.

It would much rather print documents when it feels like doing so. When I'm able to get this stupid toy to actually print off something, it flips a **** afterwards and says I have paper jams, I need to check my papers and my print cartridges all at once. It will also randomly start printing at an ungodly hour in the middle of the night, even when there is clearly no paper in the paper tray, and when the tray itself is closed. It also flat-out refuses to give me an easy time about scanning pictures and copying off documents. Once upon a time, the SCAN button on top of the PSC actually worked, but that is no longer the case now.

It is such a memory hog when I finally do get it to scan - it loves to make my desktop almost crash while scanning pictures. I finally get into my scanning program with ample RAM required for that stupid, useless toy to actually run. The toy sees that there is one hell of a lot of RAM to spare when this happens, and the toy is on it like a crazed crack addict in desperate need of a fix.

Who wants to buy a possessed HP PSC 1350 from me? :D It's sure to provide you with hours of entertainment, when it's not busy trying to **** you off.

Gawd, I had an equally useless Lexmark before I brought my possessed HP. I got the Lexmark in May of 2000, and it suddenly died on me with no warning in early 2003. This did not bode very well with me at all, becuase I had multiple Very Important Senior Year of High School Research Papers™ to be printed out. Needless to say, that was very inconvenient timing.

Never again.

I have a very cheap, yet very useful HP 1410. I've had it for nearly two years and it hasn't failed me yet.

I HAD (operative word here HAD) that exact printer. Went great for a while, then BOOM, when I really needed something to be printed, it f***** jammed on me, even when there was no reason for it to be jammed. Damn thing had NOTHING in it to cause it to jam. I took it to my guy who takes care my computer and he said there is NO PAPER JAM, it is an electrical problem that if some minute dust particles get in there, will cause it to jam up. He said, not worth fixing, stupid thing is so cheap, go out and get A BETTER ONE IRENE. So I did. I found one that is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better. My new one is soooooo quiet. The one I had (pictured above) made so much damn noise I thought it was going to blow up or something.

Allison, I could have told you HP was junk! I had two that were so annoying!

Yet I have this Lexmark that I dropped on the floor and broke and it still works.

I've known that since, like, 1995. (first printer ever was a HP and it ****ed up everything I printed out)

I had a HP scanner several years ago that scanned pictures beautifully, but all of a sudden it kicked the bucket on me for no reason. It was fine one day, then dead the next. I was really pissed, because damn, the quality was pretty nice.

Here's an example that I scanned in with my HP scanner, back in around 2002.

And this is an example from my POS 1350 that I scanned in around three months ago. It likes to **** up the colors -- the actual picture is MUCH nicer than this:

Mine still works - it's just REALLY possessed, it seems. lol
When it decides to randomly print (NOTHING), it's always in the middle of the night when I'm sitting at my computer, and the noise ALWAYS makes me jump. Sometimes it makes this horrible screeching/grinding noise that sounds like it's dying. AUUUUGH.

The one you had is the one I have, too. What printer did you end up getting?

Me too. lol

That was at some restaurant where I held my open house, when I was graduating from HS in 2003.

You just don't see anything like 'em anymore. :(

My laptop is an HP and I've gone through THREE hard drives. The first drive went out under the original 1 year warranty. The two other drives died during the extended warranty. I will never buy their products again.

HP makes good laptops. my 2nd to last computer was an HP. i did a dumb thing and put it near the edge of my bed and it fell off and broke. i ended up having to tape the thing together with duct tape making it the ugliest computer in the world, but it still wouldn't stop working. HP printers tho, that's another story. my bf has an HP printer and it only seems to work when it wants to. it's the biggest piece of crap ever.
