In "Little Sister" Jackie and Roseanne have a slap-fight and end up on the couch with Jackie twisting Roseanne's arm and Roseanne whimpering and begging for mercy. After Jackie lets her up they mention Jackie being a cop and Roseanne puts her finger to Jackie's head like a gun. "Bang, you're dead, Jackie. Dead."

That was a scene like real sisters would have. The slaps were even real.

It's just another example of real moments the show depicts. Sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Another scene, where Roseanne and Jackie "get real," but in a humorous way, is in "Roseanne and the Hood," Season 8, Episode 176--After breaking into their competitor's restaurant, Roseanne finds herself stuck in the kitchen exhaust vent, and Laurie Metcalf, as Jackie, decides to flee the scene. As she turns to leave, Roseanne catches her off guard when she unseeingly almost kicks Laurie in the head. Surprised, Laurie breaks into genuine laughter, and Roseanne, improvising, clamps her legs around her. It's always fun when things genuinely get out of hand on Roseanne!::bighug:
