(Ralph is shown in his kitchen. He is upset.)

Alice: "Ralph, don't get too upset at the fact that the Nets lost."

Ralph: "Why shouldn't I Alice? The Nets had a golden opportunity to win but they lost. The people in Canada gave Vince Carter such a bad reception that he couldn't concentrate. I know he deserved it, but probably not that much."

Alice: "Ralph, they were booing him just as much as they were booing Jason Kidd."

Ralph: "Don't get started Alice. I know that the Nets aren't having a dream season, but they will win the NBA Playoffs. I guarantee it."

Alice: "Ralph, how many times have you made a guarantee like that, only to lose?"

Ralph: "None."

Alice: "Try a million times."

Ralph: "Nobody is 100% Alice."

Alice: "You are. You have been WRONG EVERY time."

Ralph: "Boy, if I wasn't so sad, you would get yours."

(Ed comes down.)

Ed: "Hey Ralph-ie boy! I just want to tell you that after watching the Nets game tonight, I am convinced that the Nets can't win. How many times have we thought that the Nets would go on to win the NBA title only to lose? So, after tonight, I am convinced that they can't win."

Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET OUT!"

(Ed leaves.)

Ralph: "Someday, he will get his."

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage.)

Jackie: "As usual, the Miami Beach audiences are the best. Good night."

(The end.)
