Do you unplug your computer, tv, vcr/dvd recorder, & stereo when it storms?
I do, a few years ago lightening knocked out our tv & vcr. We just had a bad storm here around 1:30 pm and I was rushing around unpluging everything and wondered if anyone else does this.

Yes. I also don't use the tub or shower during electrical storms.

What are "storms?"

(With less than 3.5" of rain in the last 9 and 1/2 months.)

No, because they are all plugged into surge protectors. And nothing has happened.
I did have a TV/VCR combo that got fried crispy one year, but that was just plugged straight into the wall.

We had an overnight storm and we even got thunder and lightning which doesn't happen too often.
