I found out last night and it was confirmed in the Post today. What in the hell did he do so great to be coach of the year? His team was the winner of a division with a lot of losing a$$ teams and Mitchell gets coach of the year? I can;t figure this out either

Who would've thought the Raptors would make the playoffs??? I sure as heck didn't.

I think the Raps were expected to be one of those losing ass teams but for some reason they were able to excel and make the playoffs. Considering they were a team with a bunch of new players (9 in total) who have never played with each other before I think he did do a good job of creating good team chemistry and getting the players to believe in his system. Yeah they were in the worst devision but all things considered they did have a winning record and nobody predicted they were a playoff team before the season started, that counts for something. Finally the Raptors were in a weak division but they still beat some pretty good teams throughout the season. Expect Bryan Colangelo of the Raptors to also win executive of the year.

The Raptors proved to me the last 3 weeks that they are comedians, not basketball players. And who does that fall back on? The coach so I'm confused

Solomon, nobody expected them to be close to the playoffs and Mitchell got them there. That should be praised.

I agree with Solomon. Sam didn't deserve coach of the year. Avery Johnson should've won that.
