View Full Version : The Ebay Thread
Brad Russ 04-24-2007, 12:47 PM I thought I would start an Ebay thread here at S.O., so that when someone from here is selling something, they can have the option of letting other S.O. members get the first look. I don't know whether or not this idea will go over, but I thought it was worth a try. I just thought it would be a good way for people to get what they're selling out there, and share it with other SO members that they can trust. So anyway, if you're selling anything on Ebay or Craigslist, please feel free to post the link to your item.
Brad Russ 04-25-2007, 12:52 AM I guess I'll post first. This is actually the first time I've ever tried selling on Ebay, so if anybody has any tips on how I can have better success, please let me know. The item I'm trying to sell is a Junkyard Dog action figure I bought at a garage sale as a kid. I have about 20 more that I bought, and will probably be trying to sell them all at some point, but I wanted to start with one, just to see how it went. Here's the link for anyone who might be interested.

Zoneboy 04-25-2007, 01:12 AM Is this the LJN figure? If so then it's missing the chain which doesn't help especially since it's loose. If you list any others, Try listing them in the pro wrestling category under Sports memorabilia cards and fan shop. I usually have good luck with wrestling items in that category.

Thanks alot Zoneboy, I really appreciate your advice!! I believe it is the LJN figure, but I'm not totally sure. I have the figures out in my garage, so I'll have to check. I will definitely take your advice with the future items I try to sell. I have a ton of wrestling stuff out in my garage that I'm trying to unload, so I'm sure your advice will greatly pay off. Thanks again!! :)

You're welcome, Another thing you might try (If you haven't already done so) Is doing a completed items search for anything you're trying to sell. This will give you an idea of what the item(s) normally sell for plus it will also save you from making a mistake if you should list an item with a low buy it now price. Some of those older wrestling figures are worth quite a bit.

Brad Russ 04-25-2007, 01:39 AM Oh my goodness, now I'm really glad I posted this here!!! All of the figures I'm trying to sell are from the 80's, and I bought each one for only 25 cents a piece. Many of them are in great condition too, and by looking at what some of those are going for, I could be sitting on a small fortune. Well, a small fortune by my standards anyway. Wow, I'm definitely going to do alot more research before I try selling anything else. I so appreciate you taking the time to tell me all this, and I will SURELY take your advice!! You are the man Zoneboy!!!
PZelda 04-26-2007, 01:01 PM I'm in the process of trying to downsize my material possessions. To start off, I plan on putting up my complete Three's Company DVD collection on eBay in the next coming days. Once I've got that auction listed, I'll post links to it here and on the TV-DVD board.

why are you getting rid of your TC DVD collection?
PZelda 04-26-2007, 03:57 PM why are you getting rid of your TC DVD collection?
Several reasons:
- I haven't watched any of my TC DVDs since I originally brought them. I got season 1 when it came out in 2003, and I haven't watched it since.
- I'm running out of room and cannot afford any more storage.
- I'm really not a fan of TC anymore.
I plan on selling several more of my DVD sets, but that is the one I plan to start with first.

Ireneparalegal 05-22-2007, 09:59 PM Good Thread idea Brad!!!! How did I miss it? It's a month old.
My boyfriend has a 66 Ford Mustang on Craigslist. Here is a pic of the car...see our five year old in the back? LOL
Frischman_Fan 05-23-2007, 01:06 AM I've tried selling a PSP(with games, case and speakers), some magazines and some DVD's on Ebay. After many relistings I've had no luck so I"ve given up! :(
Frischman_Fan 05-23-2007, 01:06 AM I've tried selling my brother's PSP(brand new with games, case and speakers), some John Ritter/Three's Company magazines and some DVD's on Ebay. After many relistings I've had no luck so I've given up! :(

Mind if I ask how much you were asking for the PSP?

$200-That's with games, case and speaker system(which alone was $90)

Ok, What games are included or better yet if you have a link to the auction, I can just read about it there if it's still in the system.

It's not on Ebay anymore as I've given up. But here is the link so that you can get an idea more or less.

I still have it! Don't be fooled by the buyer. He wrote me like 2 weeks after the auction ended saying that he couldn't buy it. Oh boy! I'm sure I'm 1 of thousands that go through that on Ebay.
Anyways, check it out and tell me what you think! :)
Ireneparalegal 05-23-2007, 01:28 PM Holy Jesus, that is a beautiful car!!!, how much?
Selling for $14,000
I tell my boyfriend he will never sell it at that price. He says he will. I say he won't. He says he will. I say he won't. Oh sorry...my bad. That's how our conversation abt that car goes.
Brad Russ 06-30-2007, 01:49 PM Here's an item I put up for sale late last night. This item might peak the interest of some of the wrestling fans on the boards!!
