View Full Version : Why do so many adults have to act like children when it's a nice spring day?
TVFactFan 04-23-2007, 12:53 PM I mean so many people act like they never experience a nice day before and complain that they have to go to work on a beautiful day. I enjoy nice weather but i don;t like I'm a teenager and CALL OUT FROM WORK like my friend did today so he can BE OUTSIDE. he is defintely going to hear it from me tomorrow. Grown a$$ 32 year old man calls out because it's going to be 83 degrees today. My point is SPRING IS NOTHING NEW!!!!!!!!!!!! We all exprience it before so I think people just need to chill out
Max Whittaker 04-23-2007, 03:34 PM I don't agree. People don't get enough time out doors.
I used to work outside. I took nice weather for granted. I took unpleasant weather for granted. But I was always happy.
Now that I spend over 8 hours a day inside, with no window, I miss the sun. Human beings were not meant to be isolated like that. I would so completely call in to rejuvenate myself. I'll work harder for it.
If grown men act like children when the weather is nice, it's just natures way of rekindling something irreplaceable.
Brieannas21 04-23-2007, 03:45 PM I did the same thing Saturday, I was suppose to go in for just 3 meetings and I didn't go. I stayed home and went to the lake instead.

You went to the lake so u can do what?-lol
Brian Damage 04-23-2007, 04:16 PM Solomon, I have to agree with you. Staying home during a snow day is more acceptable than staying home on a warm day.

We took our girls to the lake for the first time. It's HUGE HUGE HUGE lake, and we took our jet skis out and we went jet skiing.

Maybe this guy wanted to go do something on this nice day. Hey, if he can afford the time off, why not?

Exactly, It's still going to be Warm when Work is over so I just don't get it

I can't wat until I see his face tomorrow-lol
Brieannas21 04-23-2007, 06:24 PM Maybe he's just the outdoors kinda guy. Not everyone likes to be cooped up inside all the time, that's depressing. Might as well enjoy as many nice days as you can, you're not promised to see another.

Brie you are missing the point of the thread. I said that NICE DAYS are great and its a beautiful time of year when the spring kicks in but It's dumb to CALL OUT because it's a Nice day when it will still be nice after 5pm-lol Also I said that a lot of people i work with just acts to excitied about a warm day like they never experience before. I never said it's better to be in the house on a Nice day

I'm not missing the point of the thread, I see nothing wrong with it. Like Irene said, if he can afford to take the day off I see nothing wrong with it. I did the same thing Saturday.
Maybe he's just outdoorsy and you're not, OR he just wanted to take advantage of some good weather. It's his check

Well, it'll make his week go by faster.
Ireneparalegal 04-23-2007, 06:44 PM Don't worry abt that guy Solomon. Just do your job. Don't let it affect you. Why are you letting this guy take up so much of your space in your head for?
It's his time and he can do with it what he wants. He probably enjoyed a great breakfast at a restaurant, went to do some outdoor things, went to do things that one can do on a weekday without dealing with the weekend crowds. Like two weeks ago, my daughter took the day off so we could visit Universal Studios on a weekday rather than a WEEKEND WHEN IT IS CROWDED!!!! I don't know, but if he can afford the time off, that's his peroragative to do so.
