I was watching PBS a few months back, and lone behold I found a marvolous spin off of Are You Being Served? Its called "Are You Being Served? Again!" (Maybe without the exclamation mark)
It starred the original cast except Mr.Spooner (and that other one....the old man that was hard of hearing). It was about the staff of Grace Brothers going out into the country side and working at an INN. Hillarious! I watched it for a few months, but I really need to start watching it again :)

A very funny show. Great to see the Grace Brothers gang back together. I also love the new characters, Mavis Moultherd and her father. This is one of those rare exceptions where the sequel is better than the original. Because the stories are no longer centered on the store they can tell lots of different stories and let us get to know many new nuances of each character!

I first saw Are you being Served Again about 7 years ago. I didn't like it all that much, just wasn't that funny. It just wasn't the same, I liked them working in the department store better.

I loved Are You Being Served? Again!(and yes Shlomo, there is an exclamation point in the title).
I know alot of people who were fans of the original show didn't like this one, but I liked both. I think it was interesting that they took the characters and placed them into a totally different environment, and totally out of their comfort zone, rather than just put them into another store or something for the sequel.
And I agree, the placement of new characters Mavis and Mr. Moulterd, as well as Miss Lovelock, were great additions to the cast and added alot to the comedy scenarios.

Mr. Mouterd(when walking in on any of the cast members eating): "Sorry to barge in when you've got your snouts in the trough!"

Mavis Mouterd(when the regulars' tv dinners were cold): "No problem, I'll just heat them back up in the mi-cro-wave!"(You can't tell here, but she always had a cute way of talking:) )
