Does anyone have any info on the Lucille Ball tribute in her hometown of Jamestown, NY that's taking place this May??

I know! It would be great to be there. The closest I ever got to a Lucy tribute was the museum at Universal Studios.

Seeing Vivian's sister would be a special treat! I know! I'm practically in tears! I'd probably get Vance's sister annoyed with all the questions I'd be asking..LOL!! I went to the Universal Studios in LA a few years ago and got to meet and take a pic with the Lucy and Ethel inpersonators. They were great and looked just like them!

From what I read, every year they have a big turn-out for the Jamestown
celebrations. It definitely looks like everyone that ends up going has a good time and makes new friends. I'm hoping that eventually I'll get the free time to finally attend. :)

I'd love to go one day too! I wish you didn't have to pay for each event you want to attend though. That could really get 'spensive. There is also a celebration in August for Lucy's birthday.

Me too!! I loved it though, I felt like a kid in a Candy store. I was in awe looking at all of the props. I had my picture taken with the Lucy lookalike.

I agree with your comment. It can get very expensive going to each event but from what I understand is that most of the money goes back into the museum and building new props and also maintaining what already exists.
And you're right about there being two events each year. It certainly will be great to be able to attend the celebrations one of these days. :D
