View Full Version : Hey Edster, I finished watching the DVD and here are my Best and worst eps
TVFactFan 04-22-2007, 09:19 PM The Best was
Maude Meets Florida
Florida's Problem
Walter's 50th Birthday
The Worst
1. Maude's Night Out-Didn't watch it because I already saw how bad it was on TV Land
2. The Ticket
3. Arthur Moves In
I would buy Season 2 if it's released

I liked the ticket episode actually, and the ep where Arthur moves in was pretty funny. I don't remember what ep this was, but I love her remark about embroidering one of Arthur's sayings onto a whoopee cushion... I just howled... I think it was the one where Tom Bosley guest-starred as a negligent doctor.
I know the show gets better as it continues, but I'm mighty glad to have this first season. I am surprised that you didn't watch all of it though. I understand about having already seen the episodes, but I like to watch a DVD in its entirety so that I know there's nothing defective on the discs. Occasionally you can end up with a scratched disc and if you haven't gone through it all, you may not notice it until it's too late to return it for an exchange. Just FYI...
Either way, I'm glad you liked it. :)

You mean you wouldn't want me to send it to you instead? LOL... sorry, couldn't resist...
Take care,
Ed

The only ep I didn't watch was ep 22 because I remember that was the ep you saw no Florida, Carol, or arthur, just walter and Maude in the bedroom for the entire episode So if it is a defect in that episode I will never know about it-lol

LOL, chances are, you're safe. I was just trying to explain why I watch everything on a DVD, even the parts that I know I don't like so that I'm sure it's not defective in any way. Glad you liked most of it though and that it arrived safely!
Take care!

Does Maude say-"God will get you for that Walter" the entire series? Or was it just early on in the Series?

Honestly, I have no idea. I'm not an expert on the show by any means. I've only seen a handful of eps in syndication other than the Season 1 release.
I would imagine she did say it quite frequently. It's something of a trademark, like J.J.'s "Dynomite" on Good Times or "Sit on it" from Happy Days. I'm just guessing, mind you, I could be wrong...

If I remember correctly, yeah, she says it all the way through. She just doesn't say it as much later on, but it does pop up a lot....And she also always says I`LL RIP YOUR HEART OUT!....Hehe!
