I much preferred "Rock Around The Clock" as the season two opening song, but does anyone else kind of think that the regular "Happy Days" theme song that is used on the DVD actually seems to fit with the sequence of the pictures decently? I miss "Rock Around The Clock", but it's interesting how this one seems to fit the action as well(for the most part). It doesn't work perfectly with all of the shots of the jukebox at the beginning, but other than that, and the way they have to add an extra verse at the end to allow for the difference in running time, it kinda works.

It's too bad they couldn't somehow use the season one/two version of the "Happy Days" theme that was played over the closing credits. I actually thought they might somehow attempt to do that, but no.

I also have to say that I was pleased that CBS/Paramount did take the time to insert the "Happy Days" theme over all of the original season two openings. I figured they'd take the lazy route and just record it over one of the sequences and tack it on all the episodes

 I find the replacement of Rock Around the Clock with Happy Days to be inexcusable. If they could put the song of the first seasons disks, there's no reason they couldn't do it for the second. The studios often cut corners with their DVD releases, but this was just plain desperation.

Perhaps, but remember, CBS Paramount owns the show, so they can pretty much do whatever they please, whether we like it or not. At the same time, the cost of music licensing can be very costly, so we also need to consider that possiblity as well.
