Was she generally a sweet person in real life or was she on the snobbish side? I've read that she didn't take crap from anyone and complained alot. I know Lucy wasn't too easy to work with either but I wanna know how Viv was as a person.

There's also a great book called The Other Side of Ethel Mertz: The Life Story of Vivian Vance. I haven't read it since it came out, but I remember really liking it. I recommend it if you're a fan.
