I don't. The only times I watch it is when some big news story has occurred, like Don Imus and I want to see what the ladies will say.

The View comes on just as I'm going out the door to work, and even if I was home to watch it, I wouldn't. I'm not big on talk shows and I think even less of its hosts. I'd much rather watch a good movie or TV show on DVD.

I don't watch daytime television. I either have work to do or things to do or I'd rather listen to music and do things around the house.

The other day when I saw the entertainment news, they showed Elizabeth spewing out her beliefs abt abortion AGAIN. We hear ya. What you may want is YOUR CHOICE. What other women want IS A CHOICE FOR THEM TO DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES. Then Joy got on her saying she stuck her foot in her mouth/being a hypocrite because she was saying how Elizabeth wants the govt. to stay out of her/our business for all issues, but she wants them to be in our business when it comes to abortion. Elizabeth seemed to stutter after that.

So true. Who wants to see a bunch of women argue their points of view? I remember back when the man version of the View was on NBC, THE OTHER HALF. NOW, that was good daytime tv. I much prefer watching the men babble their views than those crazy ass ladies. Too bad that show was canceled.

I LOVED The Other Half!! I would watch it every morning while getting ready for school (I was in my final year of college when the show premiered) or work. Danny Bonaduce was probably at his most normal. Dick Clark, Mario Lopez and Dorian Gregory were great, too. They did fun games, questions from the audience, and cool interview segments. It was light and fun TV and I was very disappointed when it was cancelled. Why that show got cancelled and The View is still on remains a great mystery to me.

You know, watching Danny Bonaduce, I almost swore he had finally kicked his addictions, his demons and so forth. He said something on there that to this day remains with me. He said, "Don't do anything that you would NOT do if your spouse were in your presence." I was glad that a man had said that. Obviously he didn't take his words to heart because he fell off the wagon and resorted to doing things behind his wife's back.

I loved the segments they did and watching Dick Clark who was so darn funny, knowing now he will never be the same again.

If you re-read my post I stated I watched that part of the View on an ENTERTAINMENT NEWS PROGRAM, (this show loves to show celebs putting their foot in their mouth, hence, the reason for showing that portion of the View) they aren't going to show the WHOLE SEGMENT. They were showing how Elizabeth put her foot in her mouth with her abortion stance and how she wants the govt. to be a part of abortion yet on other issues she wants the govt. OUT. That is all I posted, I stated nothing abt abortion and what procedures are or not acceptable.

That's not an example of putting your foot in your mouth. Plenty of people, myself included, are against partial birth abortion -- and we're happy that the Supreme Court upheld the partial birth ban last week.

Most people want the government to intervene on some issues and not others. There's nothing hypocritical about that at all or foot in mouth about it either.

Joy Behar seems to think so. This entertainment show felt it was funny enough to make it to their "foot in the mouth" segment. I pointed out how Joy got on Elizabeth for being in her words "hypocritical" and how I found it funny.

The ladies of the View don't always agree and they have their "heated" conversations.

I don't care who seems to think it's hypocrital or what 'foot in the mouth' segment it ended up on. My point is that Elizabeth's argument isn't the least bit hypocritical, for the logical reasons that I stated in my last post.

My point is the way you use the word "spewing". Elizabeth is only trying to give her side in a debate with the fat-ass pig. She isn't spewing anything. Your liberal lesbian friend on that show is the one who always spewing. No one else on that show has a chance with her. The way you make it sound makes it look like you support that type of murder on unborn children. Good job Irene. east we know where yu stand.

People's views can change. That doesn't make them a hypocrite. I used to be Democratic with some liberal views, and now I'm a Republican with some conservative views. People have a right to change their mind and their views.

I don't know about that. Rosie has made it an issue before with Elizabeth about her age. Saying she's too young to know what is going on. Of cousre it's more about her politics but fat-ass has to make that an issue. I guess if Rosie can make age an issue then her apperance is fair game too.

Like I said, people have a right to change their mind. If she's saying one thing on The View and another thing in interviews or whatever, then you have a point. As long as a person is consistent in their views, they're not a hypocrite...as in saying one thing and doing another.

There are way too many threads here abt abortion and I have made my views explicitly clear. So much so that Bobby F. even agreed with me on my views. I guess he forgot those threads.

My post on this thread was merely at a banter between two women I found funny. I didn't watch the show. I watched a segment of it. I didn't hear what was said prior to it and I didn't see what happened after that banter. As for spewing, I merely was using an adjective to describe what was being shown on this little segment. It was hard to decipher what the point of the conversation was since I only seen a portion of it and these two ladies seemed to be going at it. All that was clear was that Elizabeth was trying (unsuccesfully) to get some point across before Joy interrupted her and said something abt her being a hypocrite. At that point, it was quiet and Joy spewed out her feelings. I was laughing at that because it was funny how these ladies never seem to respect each other's views/opinions.

I think that is a turn-off to a lot of people.

I never talked abt her views or her beliefs. Simply the fact that she has made her point of view clear many times on that show and obviously those ladies on the View don't let her speak her view without jumping on her, whether she is being a hypocrite or not. It was funny to me how they interrupt her everytime she talks. It is almost a moot point to even talk with those ladies.

PLEASE!!!! I highly doubt that Joy is jealous of Elizabeth because she's young and so called beautiful. Just because you don't agree with someone and you think that their age is the reason, has nothing at all to do with jealousy. I’ve been told “You wouldn’t understand, you’re too young.” at my workplace. And I HIGHLY doubt that my age and looks has anything to do with it.

VIEW on ABC? Just thought I would ask before I request a THE VIEW Message Board on here. So any View watchers besides Solomon?-lol
I have only watched "The View" once, and it was in late September 1998 so I can record Ace of Base's performance of Cruel Summer and an interview they did on the show to promote their "Cruel Summer" album.

Maybe ... it ... is .....

I have watched Bobby rag on Irene (and others) for quite some time now and bit my toungue because they were handling him pretty well. When you "jump in" for Sol and Bobby it is okay because you are stating your opinion and you happen to agree with your friends.

Guess what SAME HERE.

Big difference, when I jumped into a Solomon thread on TP or wherever, it is because he was being double or triple teamed by a bunch of cowards. I guess you just have that gang up mentality in you that just won't go away. Ah well, I repeat, this isn't your fight.

You are absolutely correct, there are plenty of examples of gang ups. When you want to fight one on one, that is one thing, it's just certain people don't know how to do that.

You know D@MN well that Lex doesn't need a posse so you better check the mirror prior to pointing fingers. Not my fault that you can't get over your hard on for me but really I have told you before not gonna happen BD.

Do you actually believe the rhetoric you are spouting because no one else does. Like Irene said if it was anyone else that picture wouldn't have meant a damn thing, its only because of your inability to drop your Lex love affair that it is an issue.

No need to pat yourself on the back Lex. There is also no need to use foul language. That is a sure sign you are losing composure and you certainly don't want that. I just call 'em like I see 'em. If that is too hard for you to deal with, then it is you who need to look hard into that peverbial mirror. lol

Superman (again showing your obsession with me, you really need some counselling)

I never picked a fight with you, it was that giant ego of yours that had to "jump in" and drop your 2 cents. I just happened to point out that you seem to have something for me and you certainly proved my point.

So once again save your retoric for someone with an IQ less than a rock and perhaps you might be able to keep up. Bobby is a big boy and I certainly think he can handle a picture. And one thing that Bobby and I would completely agree on is that he certainly doesn't need your help.
