Has anyone wrecked or came close to wrecking their vehicle when something distracted your attention away from your driving?

Yeah, one time I was out with about three of my friends...I was driving, one friend was in the passenger seat, the other two were in the back (fiddling around with a digital camera too). I wasn't too familiar with the area and it was dark, so I was nervous as it was (and I think there was bad weather too...really foggy). My friends were laughing and taking pictures of each other, so I was distracted by what they were doing. Before I know it, there are two cops directing traffic to another side road (must've been an accident or something), and I almost collided in to their car, not to mention them. I could hear the cops screaming, "That way, that way!" and waving frantically. Thank god I noticed just in time and managed to veer off, by for a split second I was totally bugging out.

I just screamed, "Ok, enough with the camera!" and we called it a night :lol: I can laugh about it now, but I was really pissed that night.

Oh yeah. Just yesterday as a matter of fact.

Yesterday a bumble bee flew in the window of my husbands truck and it started crawling up his arm. While he's trying to shake it off and keep from getting stung, he crosses over into the other lane & almost sideswipes a car.

:eek: I'm terrified of bees, especially bumblebees. Those things are HUGE!! That's why I tend to keep the AC on in the car during warm months so nothing will fly in through the windows. If what happened to your husband happened to me, I'd have pulled over someplace and run away until the bee had flown out of the window again. I am not kidding. Bees scare me that much.

The only distractions I encounter are when I see (young) females walking down the street.
One of my friends said someone he knows actually crashed his car because he was watching a girl walking on the sidewalk. :lol:

It is illegeal in the city of Chicago, but nowhere else in Illinois -that I am aware of, but it should be.

I agree on this one. It annoys me when I see someone talking on their cell phone while driving. I have a cell phone, but I shut it off until I have to make a stop then I make a phone call if I need to:) :) :) :) :)I live in western ILLinois and I don't think we have any laws about cell phone use while driving

No, but i always laugh when i see a man stare out the window at a woman walking past, and i know it sounds terrible but sometimes I just wish they'd crash ;)

Its pretty nerve-wrecking to have one in such a small enclosed place. But somehow he managed to keep from getting stung. I'm afraid of a wasp more than a bumble bee. I guess it's because I've been chased & stung more times by wasps than bees.

My biggest problem is during rush hour, I'll be looking out the window at something and then all of the sudden traffic comes to a dead stop and it's like OH SH*T!!!! LOL

I'm afraid of ALL bees, wasps, etc. Anything that buzzes and stings...*screams and runs away*

This guy who takes me out 2 times a week IS ALWAYS talking on the stupid phone while driving and YES he has missed turns because he was distracted...
