They're taping the performance show on Monday, so we'll probably get spoilers then. Make sure you vote if you can because every vote counts for charity. :D

im LATE but heres my reviews anyway.

Chris R - Ehh...not as good as the judges said. I thought it was ok, but not spectacular.

Melinda - VERY VERY good. Possibly my favorite from her yet. Just an awesome performance overall.

Blake - As soon as they said he was singing John Lennon, I knew this would be the song. This wasn't amazing, but it was good enough.

well, everyone has done pretty well so far. tonight feels weird though, doesnt feel like an Idol show (probably cause it was pre-taped).

LaKisha - probably the worst song choice, um ever. it gets better at the end, but its a pretty bad performance on the whole. i feel mean saying it was so bad cause of theme and all but...erm, it wasnt good. :(

Cactus Jack

Jordin's performance was overrated. I'm sorry. I know you guys love her and all, but when you LISTEN to it...vocally there was some rough patches. I still say it was the best performance of the night though just because she delivered it with lots of emotion. It was a very believable performance, I'll give it that.

Chris was amazing. Not a perfect vocal (Though that run in the end was freaking awesome), but definitely one of his personal best performances, and one of the best of the night.

Melinda...always consistent, always the emotive interpreter. Loved it.

Blake had some rough patches in vocal terms and it was kind of a boring performance, but like the judges said it was genuinely sensitive. Plus major points to him for singing a song I quoted as my senior yearbook quote last year. ;)

Lakisha...just ewwwww. Stay away from songs sung by other Idols.

Phil was alright, but bland.

I voted the entire four hours for Chris tonight but I'm EXTREMELY worried that he's going to leave next. :crying:

I thought Phil, Melinda, and Jordin were all excellent. Blake, LaKisha, and Chris did nothing for me. I really hope Chris goes tonight. I'm sorry, I know he has a lot of fans around here, but I do not find him pleasant to listen to.

Chris - I thought he did a pretty good job. Probably not the best I've heard from him but it was good.

Melinda - Awesome job, like always.

Blake - I thought he did a really good job--awesome. I'm surprised the judges didn't really like it that much.

LaKisha - I thought it was pretty good. Not her best but not her worst.

Phil - Awesome job. One of his best performances.

Jordin - An ok job. It sounded pretty good towards the end but the beginning was bad. I agree with The Girl Next Door with the fact that Jordin is really overrated. Her voice isn't that great, IMO and the judges always praise her even when her performances aren't very good. Sorry, JMO.

Chris, LaKisha and Phil are in trouble tonight. I don't know which one of them will be leaving.

I don't think the beginning was bad. Just because it wasn't powerful doesn't mean it was weak. And it's fine to not be a fan of an Idol, but to say Jordin's voice isn't great is a far stretch. I don't like LaKisha much but there's no doubt she's a great singer.

Yeah, I think everyone in the top 6 are great singers and they all deserve to be there. I just prefer some over others.

BTW, how is the original You'll Never Walk Alone supposed to sound? (Yeah, I never heard it before :o ) Because in the live performance she was really belting it out but in the studio version she sounds so subdued. I found that to be kinda strange.

That's not why I thought the beginning was bad. I thought it was bad because it sounded out of tune, in my opinion. The ending was good and was in tune.

Different people have different tastes. I don't think Jordin's voice is all that great, but it's just my opinion. I know there are many people that think she has a great voice, and I respect that. It's just like how I like Phil. I like his voice and I think he's a great singer, but that's just my opinion. I know there are others who think his voice isn't great, and I respect that too.

It's not that I don't like her. She has a good personality and seems to be a nice person. I just personally do not like her voice. That's all.

Unless you have bad taste. That's one excuse. :p

I hope you and Jack are kidding. Not everyone is going to like your favorite and just because they don't doesn't mean they have bad taste. As a Chris Richardson fan, I know.

I agree and disagree with I Love John Ritter. I disagree with her opinion saying that Jordin's not a great singer, because I think she is a great singer. She has amazing range and shows good control of her voice on some songs...just listen to If We Hold on Together and I Who Have Nothing, they're almost flawless.

But I also can see why she doesn't think she's great. I feel like sometimes Jordin has breath management problems (On a Clear Day). Also the judges have been overpimping her performances. A Broken Wing and You'll Never Walk Alone had pitch problems yet the judges didn't say anything about it.

Honestly, as much I like Jordin and would like to see her get far, I've already seen her in the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Diana DeGarmo, and Katharine McPhee - pretty pop singer with a big voice and versatile in the songs she chooses.

Oh and before people start hating on my favorite, I felt like the judges overpimped Chris's Change the World performance too. It was good but I did notice a rift in the vocal aspect of it.
