I also saw this on my local news. WOW...

An enraged Alec Baldwin unleashed a volcanic tirade of threats and insults on his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, calling her a "thoughtless little pig," and bashing her mother Kim Basinger -- and TMZ has obtained the whole thing unfiltered and raw. And we've learned, a family law judge was so alarmed after hearing the tape, she has temporarily barred Baldwin from having any contact with his child.

After Ireland failed to answer her father's scheduled morning phone call from New York on April 11, Alec went berserk on her voice mail, saying "Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone," adding, "you have insulted me for the last time."

Switching his train of thought, Baldwin then exercised his incredible parenting skills and took a shot at his ex-wife, declaring, "I don't give a damn that you're 12-years-old or 11-years-old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn't care about what you do." The irate Baldwin went on to say, "You've made me feel like s**t" and threatened to "straighten your ass out."

"This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother," screamed Baldwin, "and you do it to me constantly over and over again."

Before hanging up, Baldwin warned the child, "You better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me." That's tomorrow.

We've learned that on Wednesday, Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner Maren Nelson heard the tape and temporarily suspended Baldwin's visitation rights. A hearing is set for May 4, where the judge could permanently deny Baldwin visitation or contact with Ireland.

Calls to Basinger's attorneys, celebrity lawyers Neal Hersh and Judy Bogen, were not returned.

Baldwin's lawyer, Vicki Greene, told TMZ, "Whatever happened yesterday was sealed and confidential. What you're telling me you've got you shouldn't have."

UPDATE: Basinger's publicist, Annette Wolfe, told TMZ: "The voicemail speaks for itself."

UPDATE: A friend of Alec Baldwin's just contacted TMZ to say that the actor called Ireland last week and apologized for his outburst. The friend added that Ireland is the most important thing in the world to Alec and that he is frustrated because over the last six years, Kim has "tried everything" to alienate Ireland from him.

UPDATE: Alec Baldwin's spokesperson released the following statement to the TV show "EXTRA": "In the best interest of the child, Alec will do what the mother is pathologically incapable of doing ... keeping his mouth shut and obeying the court order. The mother and her lawyer leaked this sealed material in violation of a court order. Although Alec acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years."

I knew Baldwin and Bassinger had an ugly divorce, but this takes the cake.

If Kim Basinger is trying to alienate Ireland from her father then he has every right to be upset. The only problem is that there's a right way and wrong one to deal with the situation and obviously Mr. Baldwin has chosen the wrong one. It's a shame these 2 can't get along and even worse that Ireland is stuck in the middle with 2 people who are able to provide her with anything she needs but aren't fit to be parents.

Well stated Zoneboy. It's not surprising to see one parent turn the kids against the other parent, it's happened in my family with my Niece's kids. Sad really.

Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner Maren Nelson has reportedly suspended Alec Baldwin's visitation rights to his 11-year-old daughter after hearing an angry answering-machine message in which the actor calls the pre-teen a "rude, thoughtless little pig."

Furious Baldwin unleashed a rant of threats and insults aimed at daughter Ireland and her mother Kim Basinger after calling his kid in Los Angeles from New York and finding she had switched her phone off.

During the three-minute blast, which has been leaked on the Internet by TMZ.com, the Pearl Harbor star calls his ex-wife Basinger "a thoughtless pain in the a**" and threatens to "straighten you’re a** out" on an upcoming one-day visit, which was, at the time, planned for later today.

TMZ.com claims the call was made on April 11 and when Ireland wasn't around for the scheduled phone chat, her father flew into a rage.

He fumed, "Once again, I have made an a** of myself trying to get to a phone... You have insulted me for the last time."

He continued, "This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother, and you do it to me constantly over and over again."

Before hanging up, Baldwin warned the child, "You better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me."

After suspending his visitation rights, Commissioner Nelson set a new court hearing for Baldwin.

Baldwin's lawyer, Viki Roberts, tells TMZ.com, "Whatever happened yesterday was sealed and confidential. What you're telling me you've got you shouldn't have."

Unfortunately, there are too many children out there who get that kind of abuse from their parents. Then the parent wonders why the kid doesn't respect them.

Kim had tried repeatedly to tell the court abt Alec's violent outbursts, not only towards her but to their minor child. It took this for the court to realize Kim was telling the truth.

In the immortal words of my sister, "That's messed up." I've always found Alec Baldwin creepy. This does nothing to change my mindset.

Baldwin had better be careful. A certain fellow by the name of Imus just got canned for saying some bad things; if this blows up in the media, Alec might be booted from "30 Rock."

Which would suck because he is brilliant on that show.

The stakes are higher because this is his own child - who is all of 11 years old!!

^ Yeah, that is sad.

Baldwin has been known to have a serious anger control problem. NBC might not want to deal with the spit that will probably hit the fan over this latest outburst.

LOS ANGELES - As Alec Baldwin's angry words to his daughter were being broadcast around the world, the 49-year-old actor explained himself Friday on his Web site.

"Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child," he wrote. "I'm sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now. You have to go through this to understand. (Although I hope you never do.) I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case."

A voicemail Baldwin left for his 11-year-old daughter, in which he can be heard calling her "a rude, thoughtless little pig," was published Thursday by celebrity news site TMZ.com.

Baldwin and his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, have been engaged in bitter custody disputes over their daughter, Ireland, since the couple divorced in 2002.

"In such public cases, your opponents attempt to take a picture of you on your worst day and insist that this is who you are as a person," Baldwin wrote. "Outside the doors of divorce court, I have friends, I have respect from people I work with and I have a normal relationship with my daughter. All of that is threatened whenever one enters a court room."

Meanwhile, Baldwin's attorney, Vicki Greene, said she filed a Superior Court order Friday "to determine how the tape got leaked and to determine whether actions should be taken against Kim Basinger, or her attorneys, or Harvey Levin (who runs TMZ.com) and anybody else associated with the leaking of the tape and the violation of the court orders to keep the proceedings closed."

In a letter Greene sent to Levin Thursday included in the court order, the attorney said she called Levin at 12:30 p.m. that day after learning he intended to go public with the tape.

"I cautioned you against taking any action, especially when what you disclosed to me could only have been obtained from an improper source, was sealed by the Court and should not be in your possession, let alone disclosed to the public," she said in the letter.

Levin told The Associated Press on Friday that he obtained the tape legally.

"I'm not going to talk about sources. I'm not going to say who we obtained it from," he said. "We obtained this legally. We discussed it, and felt it was an important story, and published it. If she disagrees, that's her opinion."

Greene told TV's "The Insider" that "anyone involved in this case should want to protect Ireland, so whatever happened was either intentional, reckless or negligent."

The matter is set for a hearing June 5, Greene said.

Basinger's attorney, Neal Hersh, weighed in on the family saga Friday on TMZ.com.

"I am concerned that Mr. Baldwin's recent statement, wherein he attempts to shift responsibility to Kim and her lawyers for his issues with Ireland, shows just how out of touch he is with the reality and gravity of the situation," Hersh said.

Basinger's spokeswoman had no comment Friday

No excuse...to call your own little daughter a "pig". Not only will he have to deal with the repercussions of losing custody, but the very real possibility of losing Ireland's love and respect. Those wounds don't heal overnight.

No it doesn't. Can you imagine how many times she will hear that in her head for the next 70 years, at least? Verbal abuse.

She's entering those awkward preteen years...and kids that age tend to be more impressionable than anyone. My heart just aches for her...no one deserves to be reamed out that way.

There is absolutely no defense for Baldwin's words. I don't care how frustrated he is, you don't talk to your daughter that way. It's not her fault. She's only 11 years old. I remember when he and Kim were married, there were always stories about his anger management issue. It was the major reason for their divorce.

I've seen Alec on many talk shows over the years, and he's always got a pissed off look on his face, and a sour disposition going on. He's perpetually angry.

I think Kim needs to get a grip too. She didn't have to leak that tape. As disgusting as his words were, did the entire world need to hear it? That's only going to cause further distress for their daughter. Kim could have had only the judge hear it, for her daughter's sake. I can only imagine how that poor girl feels, with the entire world hearing that tape.

Kim hasn't cooperated with the court orders through the years either. They're both stubborn and vindictive and put their bitterness ahead of their daughter.

I think both Alec and Kim have behaved horribly since their divorce. Money's no issue. For God's sake, get along for your daughter's sake! My husband and his ex-wife divorced when they had four children under the age of eight. They have never, to this day, said a negative word about one another.

The Baldwins should be ashamed of themselves, for making a spectacle and a circus out of that poor girl's custody. I can only imagine the horror stories that we'll be hearing once she's in college, gets married, has children etc. I have a feeling that her immature parents are going to make her life harder to accomodate their massive egos.
