Last night I saw the season 9 episode "What a Day for a Daydream," where the family is sitting around the table eating dinner and talking about winning the lottery. Roseanne has several daydreams (like being on Jerry Springer).

My question is: Does anyone know of the significance or meaning of a paper that is stuck on the refrigerator door? It says "Rene" and another word and has a (blue?) arrow pointing down. You can see it behind Roseanne but it is partially blocked. I think it might be in other episodes too.

THANK U THANK U THANK U. I thought I was the only one who noticed that. I have seen RENE since Roseanne has been on the air. I mean, is it a family member? I NEED TO KNOW. :lol: It can be seen on many episodes. It looks like a kid made the picture and she put it on the refrigerator, the way I put my son's pics on our refrigerator.

I'm 99% sure that Michael Fishman did the drawings on the fridge, but I have no idea what or who Rene is. Maybe someone that he knew.

Roseanne used to keep little gifts that were sent to her by fans and children, so maybe the drawing was by a child fan.

Also, in "Fender Bender," when Jackie is feeding the kids in the kitchen, a magnetic "44" can be seen displayed on the refrigerator-- this is the 44th episode of season 2!;) In an interview with Roseanne, a while back, she commented that fans use to send stuff in and they'd post it on the fridge. The "off-colored" fan pics, etc., were housed in the freezer-- that's why Dan sometimes grins when he opens the door to it! An X-rated polaroid of George Clooney's "personals" wearing glasses use to hang on the refrigerator, too! (No joke-- Roseanne laughingly mentioned it in an interview!)

I was the little girl, Rene. My mother and i went to a book signing in 1996(?). I had to give the security guard the sad eyes because we had just missed the doors closing at the book store. I initially made that paper with the intention of asking Roseanne for an autograph.She said, Is this for me? I was star struck, shook my head yes, she wrote my name on it and promised to put it on the show! What a lasting impression that has made on me and also a cool story to tell!!

I have NO reason to make that up. Rosanne met thousands of fans and I only met her once. She got the story wrong, because I'm not dead. I'm sure being as famous as she is its hard to keep track of her adoring fans! No need call me shady. k thanks

At least my mom knows it true...Though it wasn't a drawing at all. It was stickers put on a sheet of computer paper. I saved every sticker myself. The blue arrow was fuzzy and from a bubblegum machine. I only made it for an autograph but then she thought I made it for her, so I went with it.

Rene was a 9 year old girl who visited Roseanne on set before the little girl died. Google it Roseanne tweeted about it in 2012
