I felt really bad for the kid. He's only 17. People were all laughing and cheering and clapping when he left. I thought that was kind of disrespectful. It obviously wasn't Sanjaya's vocal skills that won over America, but his personality. I'm going to miss him and that smile of his. He always kept his chin up and smiled no matter what. I'm sorry for the people who liked him and all but I could not stand him and I'm so glad he is gone oh my gosh when I heard he was voted off I just hit my knees and said thank you lord. Gosh for a while there I was getting scared that Sanjaya might actually win with all the people voting for him and I did not want that to happen and be subjected to having to hear his voice on the radio. I kind of agree with you....a lot of people only tuned in to watch Sanjaya. Now people will have nothing to talk about, at least not with the same buzz Sanjaya generated. And you're right. The guy didn't do ANYTHING. He was put through by the judges and producers then America, whether it be VFTW or Howard Stern or even us brown people (not me personally, I'm a Chris and Blaker), kept voting for him. He just embraced his identity and had fun up there.

Thank heavens. I haven't seen the show in full, but with what I did see in the past weeks, he was terrible. Even the background singers sounded better than he did.
