True, but the DVD is June 12.

They are only airing the 12 episodes they have already aired??? That's strange. So when TV Land airs a specific show, they acquire rights for each episode to air?? We're going to be getting more than that on the Season 1 dvd set. I wonder if they are doing this as a way to promote the dvd or if they plan to air the entire series somewhere down the line. :confused:

No, they have rights to them all. They are just testing this. If it does well, they will go out and take out the masters of the rest.

I am so very glad that What's Happening is Returning from Hiatus

Only 12 episodes of the series, I would think TVLand would stop teasing us and air the entire series. I'll tune in for ratings purposes but once I buy the DVD, screw TVLand.

7am is really a bad slot for the show anyway. I would think they would have tried it in primetime where more people can watch it.

I wonder if they will, in fact, decide to air more episodes than they have already shown.

By the way, amazon.com now has the final coverart posted. It's a bit clearer than the previous version but it remains the same in design. :)

TVL has showed only 12 episodes over and over previously: #1, #4, #12, #22, #23, #26, #35, #38, #44, #45, #60, #66.

It looks like we might get all the ones besides those 12!

I can't do it because the TV i have cable on is the TV i watch N@N on every night. So that would mean I would have to fall asleep to TV LAND and there is nothing on TV Land to watch after 1am. So it's no way for me to record it. Now if it came on at 8am, then I would be cool

Week of Monday, June 4: #7, 8, 9, 10, and 11
Week of Monday, June 11: #13, 14, 15, 16, and 17
Week of Monday, June 18: #18, 19, 20, 21, and 2
Week of Monday, June 25: #1, 4, 12, 22, 23

So all of S1 will air on TV Land! Now let's hope in July we see seasons two and three and not just the episodes they have already aired.

They have only listed Season 1 plus selected episodes from 2 and 3 under the episode guide. Does this mean they will not be airing Season 2 and 3 in full?

They only have plans to air those episodes only.

Thanks Pav! I was hoping to see the "Cabin Fever" episode. I guess I'll have to wait for Season 2 to come out. Do we know if sales for Season 1 have been good so far? I hope it sold really well.

No, there is a sales ranking. At last I checked yesterday, WHN was #9,000 something. Compare that to recent releases: Silver Spoons was #400 something and Perry Mason was like #38.

Hopefully, the sales in stores are doing much better than Amazon but that has me worried about the future of season two. Why didn't Sony promote the WHN DVD like Urban Works did with Cosby and ADW? Promotion and marketing always can help out

I was afraid of this. They didn't seem to advertise at all. And big chain stores like Target didn't carry it. But I'm not sure what stores in your local areas at had it. My Best Buy only had 2 copies on the day of release. And it was in the regular TV-dvd section. It was not featured as a new release. It seems they almost made it an inevitable flop in sales. :rolleyes:

Wal-Mart had it in their circular in my area (Atlanta, GA.) but the store in my neighborhood didn't have any displays up or anything. Normally, Wal-Mart will place DVD ads on the sensor dectors in front of the stores. All the WHN need to step up and buy this DVD so we can get all the seasons and Sony needs to advertise it. This show was good and people are sleeping on it.

Right. I don't think I was on the boards too much when 227 and What's Happening Now!! were on TV Land. And both shows were on at times when I wasn't at home. If TV Land would have promoted them any then I would've at least known about it and I could've taped some episodes.
