Way before Saved By The Bell there was this PBS 1980 comedy/drama which featured Elizabeth Daily (now known as EG Daily) about 4 urban teens who dealt with current issues while trying to become stars with their singing group "The Righteous Apples", music was actually issued through a P.O. Box that was given at the end of the show. I recently found 3 episodes of this lost show....episodes are:

Yes, I remember watching it. It was an excellent series and very groundbreaking for it's time. I think the fact that it wasn't in the mainstream of exposure kept it from being a hit. I remember one episode where Russell Johnson played a cop.

Hey I remember that show it was one of my favorites! I use to watch it faithfully. Myketi Williamson who played Big Neck he was Bubba in Forrest Gump and when on to alot of other great roles. I wonder where the other cast members are now.
