I live in NYC and the show comes on from 1:30 - 2:30 am weeknights.

Anyway I noticed when they showed the season 7 episode Sorry, Wrong Meeting (the KKK episode), the "N" word was muted.

A few weeks later they showed the season 8 episode Blazing Jeffersons, where Lionel's faulty wiring was thought to be the cause of the Jeffersons store to burn down.
When George questioned him and offered to help him, Lionel got defensive and stormed out the apartment. George got pissed and said something like..."what is he getting mad about, that N..... burned down my store" (by the way that scene was hilarious)

Someone want to shed light on this please on why the N word was muted on one episode and not the other.

George was upset cause he thought wiring lionel did on his brooklyn store just burned down he thought it was the cause of it when it was the burglar alarm and that why he said that

Mute it, because Al Sharpton would be all over the CW11 for airing it.

blazing jeffersons was the last time that word was ever heard and the only episode that season.

It makes no sense. If they want to be politically correct you'd think they'd edit it out of both episodes. The use of the N word in Sorry Wrong Meeting fits in with the storyline and taken in context I don't think it's offensive. I could more quickly see someone getting offended by the way it is used in Blazing Jeffersons where it's more for shock value. I caught that airing of Blazing Jeffersons and was surprised that they left the N word in. Here in NY there is a local politician who wants to ban that word from all public discourse so maybe the heat was on the station at the time Sorry Wrong Meeting aired, but that doesn't explain why they'd leave it in just a couple weeks later (my feeling is that since the show comes on in the middle of the night maybe not too many people would watch or complain).

Once the WB11 finishes running the last few seasons of the show, lets see if the word is muted once they're airing episodes from the first 3 seasons.
