Has anyone else here been having breathing problems lately?? It's weird, but for the last month or so, I've noticed that I get tired alot easier than I ever did before, and I find myself breathing heavy, even when I take short walks. What's weird, is that I've been in much better shape than ever. I've been walking and excercising like crazy, been eating better, and I've even lost 8 pounds, yet I feel like I'm in worse shape than I was when I really was in bad shape. Just a couple months ago, I'd walk four miles without even having to take a deep breath, but now, I can barely make it up to the mini mart down the street, without getting physically tired. I have been sick alot lately, and my allergies have been driving me absolutely crazy, so that could be partially to blame, but still, it's odd to me that it would be this bad. Anybody else been experiencing anything like this, and do you have any idea what some of the causes might be??

What Tara said, and aren't you on new medications? That may or may not be coming into play. You know that new medication I was telling you about Brad? It leaves me sort of breathless at times. It also makes me think I'm Eleanor Roosevelt sometimes, so what can I say. ;)

If this keeps up, you're going to have to see your doctor.

Thanks Tara and Janice, I really appreciate your kind words, and suggestions. :) I think it's just weird for me, because I'm not use to being sick, but since I've been sick so much this year, it just always worries me, since I'm not use to it. As far as the multi vitamin thing goes, I actually do take one every morning. I started that about three years ago, when my nurse wanted me to take it since I was housebound at the time, and not getting any sunlight. I'm sure it helps. Probably would be feeling 100 times worse if I didn't take it, so I'm fortunate there.

Then it is probably the new meds; it takes time for your body to adjust; and one of the signs is fatigued; just hang in there, my friend and I will be praying for you and sending you positive vibes. I am sure, you will be feeling yourself in time.:bighug:

Thanks Tara!! I've been on the receiving end of your prayers, and positive vibes before, and they've ALWAYS helped, so I know I'll be feeling better before long. Thanks sooooo much!! :)

I'm sorry Brad. I hope you feel better soon and hopefully the breathing difficulty will be a thing of the past.

Thanks Jen, I really do appreciate that!! :) It sucks losing my breath just walking upstairs. LOL!! I'm sure it's nothing serious though, and will clear itself up soon.

What has the weather been like where you live? When the temperatures get hotter the air quality goes down and can affect your breathing. Also keep in mind that it is Spring and there are alot more allergens in the air which can also affect your breathing. I would get it checked out if it persists.

Thanks for the response Lex. The weather has actually been odd here lately. It's like half the day it'll be beautiful and sunny, the other half will be rainy. It has been substantially warmer overall though, so I'm sure that's a factor, and I know my allergies have been going crazy, so I know that's a factor as well. It's just never been this bad before, but like Tara mentioned, I've also been sick recently, so I guess it makes sense when you put all those things together.

I hope that you will be feeling better soon. Check with your doctor if you don't improve.
