I noticed in certain episodes when (Dan) takes a beer;
he taps on the lid before opening it.

Does anybody know why he does that?

Thanks :wave:

I noticed that too and although I don't drink beer, I think it settles the foam so the beer won't spew out when he opens it (just in case one of the kids shook it!). Just a guess!

I love the one where he punches out Fisher and comes back with a busted up hand. Roseanne says "you better put some alcohol on that" and he smiles, goes to the fridge and says "good idea" and grabs a beer.

yep, dunno if it works but it is meant to be to stop it being fizzy and foaming:confused:

It's true, if you tap a soda/beer can it will cause it to not explode when you open it.

Like those above said, to ease the foam and fizz from spewing out at you. I have tried doing it and not doing it...it comes out the same no matter whether you tap it or not.

Yeah, with a family you never know what you are getting or eating! The pets stand a better chance!

I remember a half-inch of milk, cookie crumbs, flat soda, one slice of stale bread, cereal that was picked through (I never got the prize), an Eggo that was both slimy and covered with ice, a slice of ham with a rainbow on it and a toilet paper roll with one square on it.

Nobody ever knew anything! My brothers were all innocent.

But my Dad's Olympias were cold and fresh! (I bet he tapped them)!
