View Full Version : Stupid 76ers Fans want the Team to lose because of better chance of getting the
TVFactFan 04-14-2007, 12:02 PM number 1 pick but don't realize that the Players can't do that because new drafted players forces the GM of the 76ers to get RID of people to make room for younger guys-lol So you have to continue to show what you have in order to STAY on the Team. You don't go out and lose knowing you want to continue to have a NBA paycheck.
I swear these are some of the dmmest fans on the planet
Dutabi84 04-14-2007, 01:20 PM Yes, the players are going to continue to try to win, but I think if a team is going to try to tank the rest of the season, they are going to sit their stars, and play the younger players/scrubs.

Especially the FIRST YEAR PLayers, they are trying to make a name for theirsel so you kno they can't have the "LET"S TANK it mentality.
Brian Damage 04-14-2007, 01:28 PM In a way, I understand, especially with players like Kevin Durant and Greg Oden available.
Dutabi84 04-14-2007, 01:29 PM Right. I doubt many players are thinking that way. It's probably more the coaches and GMs. I know the Timberwolves can only keep their 1st round pick if it's a top 10, otherwise the pick goes to the Clippers. So they've been sitting Garnett, and playing the rookies a lot. Not just to give them experience, but to hopefully increase their chances of keeping the pick.

Well, Orlando actually has something to play for. They're barely hanging on to the 8th seed in the East...so, I think I'd be willing to bet my paycheck that Orlando wins tonight.

They play this afternoon at 3pm and I agree
freshprinceofLA 04-14-2007, 08:55 PM WTF! How stupid do they realize that even though they lose all the rest of thier games they still aren't guareenteed the 1st or 2nd pick. It's a lottery thing. You could be the worst team and end up with the 5th pick or some other pick.

The east must have really been weak if they had a chance with out AI or C-Webb. Andre Igoudola is a good player but he can't do it on his out. 6ers fans now a days are so desperate. They used to be a great team greer, chamberlain in the 60's then followed by billy cunningham, Dr.J, Moses Malone, Charles Barkely and most recent Allen Iverson.
