Mork & Mindy was a spin-off from an episode of Happy Days in which Mork, an alien from the planet Ork, attempted to kidnap Richie. So popular was Mork that he was given his own series in 1978 and it became an instant hit.

Mork (Robin Williams), a misfit on Ork because of his sense of humor, was sent off to study Earthlings, whose "crazy" customs the "Orkans" had never been able to understand. Mork landed in a giant eggshell near Boulder, Colorado and was befriended by pretty Mindy McConnell (Pam Dawber), a music store clerk. Mork looked human but his strange mix of Orkan and Earthling customs led most people to think of him as just some kind of nut. Aware of his origins, Mindy helped him adjust to Earth's strange ways.

The cosmic comedy continues in this four-disc, second season collection. Na-no, Na-no!

I just got my S2 set today from Amazon. I scanned through the episodes and unfortunately there is a small edit on "Mork vs The Necrotons". It occurs around at the 44:20 mark, after Racquel Welch says something like "See I told you they were trying to steal my job!",Mork was about to say "Great",but that part(about 1 second long)was edited. You could hear the tail end of the audience laughter and applause.
I saw this scene on You Tube and all that was cut was the part where Mork said "great".
The rest of the episodes appear to uncut when comparing them to the various old tapes of the syndicated episodes I have.
The first 4 episodes on Disc 1 don't sound like Robin Williams saying "Nanu.Nanu"and a slightly different arrangement of the S2 disco theme, that probably wasn't used in syndication. After that,Robin's Nanu Nanu and the other arrangment of the S2 disco theme are used.
Picture quality is pretty good and except for that small edit,I was happy with this set.

That's strange. I wonder why they cut that out?

Yeah, that definitely wasn't Robin saying "Nanu Nanu" at the beginning of the opening credits. I don't know who said it, but I thought it was very annoying. They should have just had Robin say it from the start.

I got my season 2 set last week at Wal-Mart. It was the last copy and they didn't know if more were coming in.

I received my S2 the other day and dug right in. I was 9 years old when this season originally aired and while I recall bits and pieces I might as well be watching these episodes for the first time.

I had a vague memory of the hour-long season opener "Mork in Wonderland" and was excited to see it again. That excitement went south pretty quickly. This episode was painful to watch. Almost everything about it was bad. I don't think I laughed once. Was it just me? Or am I missing something? It's like they went out of their way to make a terrible episode.

Thankfully, "Stark Raving Mork" and "Mork's Baby Blues", the two other episodes I've had time to watch were good. Here's looking to the rest of the set!

Yeah, "Mork in Wonderland" was pretty bad. I think I may have laughed once when I saw it a few months ago but that was it. The first half of that episode wasn't bad, but when Mork went to the upside down planet in the second half, it was just terrible.

I'd never really seen any season 2 episodes until I bought the DVD. I'd always heard that season 2 was awful but I was surprised that it wasn't bad at all. Sure, a couple of episodes sucked, but there were a few great ones too like "Stark Raving Mork" and my personal favorite "The Night They Raided Mind-ski's". :)

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I ordered both season sets from the library, and will share my thoughts here when I finish the episodes.

I like the first two seasons over 3 and 4, and perhaps would choose Season 2 as my favorite. "Jeanie Loves Mork" is an episode I particularly like.

I don't have a second season favorite, but one I really like is "Looney Tunes and Morkie Melodies." It's where the go on a TV show and Robin does his Mr. Rogers parody.
