How about Scott Baio in both Happy Days and Charles In Charge? He seems to crack up at certain times and other times he doesn't crack up a joke that the actors' delivered their lines. But in both shows, it the actors playing alongside Baio would always crack up when Scott delivered his jokes and you can tell some of them are trying to keep a straight face most of the time when Scott told his joke already.

There were numorous times in the Carol Burnett Show when either actors try to get a sketch done, but couldn't due to the actor's involvement making them all laugh uncontrollably.

I think the unquestioned winner of this debate would have to be Harvey Korman from The Carol Burnett Show. Whenever he had a scene with Tim Conway, he would invariably begin to chuckle and try in vain to hold himself from laughing and he always cracked up. Conway was the only cast member who could break up Korman consistently. More often that not, in any case.

Maya from Just Shoot Me! always laughed, mostly at Finch's jokes. The laughter seemed to be genuine though.

It is kind of amusing. It is usually Michael Pearlman of CIC cracking Scott Baio or Willie Aames himself. And it usually becomes the opposite when Scott delivers his lines to Aames. You notice at certain points...Aames tries not to laugh at Scott's lines and even when Michael trapped poor Scott in the corner, when he opens the door, you can tell Aames was laughing also. There was also certain moments when Callahan had his usual temper tandrums it made both Scott or Willie trying to keep a straight face, even when delivering their lines.

I remember seeing Carol Burnett on some talk show back then; and she was saying if ever you wanted to kill Harvey Korman, just tie him into a chair with a gag over his mouth and have Tim Conway stand in front of him doing funny things.

You're right, Buffyboy. I love Natalie, but her little smirk always bothered me. And then when DJ came along, it was the same thing!

Tim and Harvey are the most famous, though. I smile just thinking of them!

Charlotte Rae seem to laugh more with the FOL girls than the Drummond kids...have you notice she tries not to crack up at all when Lisa delivers a joke?

I agree. Harvey Korman. His name is the first one that came to my mind even before I opened this thread.

If you've ever see the bloopers for Roseanne you'll see just how hard it was for them to get a shot without Roseanne cracking up. Lol.

The Honeymooners, the cast looks like they want to crack up so bad. Same with I Love Lucy.

Sara Rue did it a lot in response to some of Andy Dick's lines and other bits on "Less Than Perfect."

I would say the cast of Martin if you notice in a lot of the scenes where Martin is acting a fool Cole, Pam, Gina and Tommy are all trying to keep a straight face.

Natalie on The Fasts of Life. That Nat never took herself too seriously and laughed at her own jokes is one of the things that defined her character.

Steve Landesberg seemed to have a hard time keeping a straight face on Barney Miller.

in the earlier seasons of "Roseanne" would crack up and laugh when she wasn't suppose to. As the show went on she became a better actress and her laughing at lines just went away.

And Rachel on Friends~ she covers her face a lot when she's trying to hide a laugh! :)
