My favorite is KSBW, Monterey, Salinas and California central coast. It's an NBC affiliate, with great news, weather and sports. I've been watching it for almost thirty years. Some of the people in sports and weather have been with KSBW a long time. The news crew seems like 'family'. Although there has been some turnover in anchors over the years, the station has a knack for hiring people who really connect with the viewers. It's a local news station I enjoy watching every day.

WTVF in Nashville, Tn. Its a CBS affiliate, I like there news & weather teams.
The only shows I watch on there is Jericho, Two & a half men, The King of Queens and The Late Late Show. But for news & weather its the best channel.

KFVS is with CBS everything is on there except for Deal or No Deal, Days of Our Lives and Desperate Housewives. But for news and weather is the closest to where I live so its the best for weather and also thats the only news station my parents have ever watched so that probably influences my decison a little bit

I get all those. WOIO is horrible, and WUAB was a lot better in the 1980s.

I think FOX-8 is my fave for news. I agree that WOIO AND WUAB were so much better in the '80s. I also LOVED Channel 61 when I was a kid. They had the BEST reruns and cartoons. I wish it was still around...:(

*Don't get WVTM-TV NBC or WIAT-TV CBS, but I used to, WVTM was good but WIAT sucked*

*Don't get the others, but used to and they are worthless, WTVM is the only one remotely interesting

My favorite local channel has always been WPIX*TV, my CW affiliate. They've always had the best news, and they have good late night shows like Frasier, Cheers, The Jeffersons, and Good Times.

For years, my favorite local station was WRIC (my ABC affiliate) with the exception of Thursday nights, which I would watch NBC programming exclusively on WWBT.

These days, I don't really have a favorite as I watch good programming from almost all the stations in my area.

I think I have seen that once, Iowa public television airs that, we don't since we sign off at midnight. I love American Experience, and Frontline I watch the newshour almost every night. It helps to to understand what is going on in the news. they go more in indepth and explain more. oh and lets not forget Charlie Rose that is a great interview program
