Rapper Snoop Dogg has dismissed comparisons between sexist hip-hop lyrics and the recent racist remarks made by radio DJ Don Imus.

Imus was suspended by CBS Radio and MSNBC on Monday after he referred to the Rutgers University women's basketball team as 'nappy-headed hos'--a racially charged sexist term.

Snoop frequently refers to women as "b**ches" and "hos" in his music, but he insists Imus' use of the term was unacceptable and the 66-year-old DJ should be taken off the air.

The Doggystyle star says, "It's a completely different scenario.”

"(Rappers) are not talking about no collegiate basketball girls who have made it to the next level in education and sports.

"We're talking about hos that's in the 'hood that ain't doing s**t, that's trying to get a n**ga for his money. These are two separate things.

"First of all, we ain't no old-ass white men that sit up on MSNBC going hard on black girls.

"We are rappers that have these songs coming from our minds and our souls that are relevant to what we feel. I will not let them muthaf**kas say we are in the same league as him.

"Kick him off the air forever."

You know, i am just so happy that Mr. Dogg was able to clear that up for me.

Yep. He has to appear in court on drug and weapons charges and if tried and found guilty may serve up to 4 years in jail.

At school, I was a little early. It was 7:15. School starts at 7:25. I went to the library which has computer access and went on www.amazon.com and typed in “Snoop Dogg”. When Snoop Dogg search results showed up, I clicked on “Doggy Style.”

I read some reviews about the album, such as one who said, “This album is great. I love the song, ‘Gin And Juice. That’s’ my favorite song from Snoop Dogg. All of the songs on this album are great! He’s a great rapper! 5 stars!

Another review was not glowing at all. “I give this album a 1 star. Snoop Dogg is a washed up crack rapper. He has very little talent and ALWAYS looks stoned when he is on T.V. And that is because he is! I’m glad I didn’t buy this crap piece of trash. My cousin let me borrow it for free. I wish I could burn this CD, and not in the term we in 2005 say we want to “burn” CDs. I want to burn the CD in the literal way, with lots and lots of fire. Snoop Dogg needs to go away……………forever."

Whoa, harsh I thought. I read other reviews, and the stars and reviews were excellent. Basically, all the reviews were glowing except for that one harsh review. Overall, the CD got a 4 and a half star rating.

So, are gardeners and farmers not going to be able to call that one implement a "hoe" anymore?;)
