Hey, does anyone know any good stores I can get rock clothes & jewelry/wristbands? I really wanna try this style bc I think it's really cool & after watching Gina Glocksen on American Idol, I really, really got into the style.
Someone told me I shouldn't shop at Hot Topic, but that's the only place I can think of right now that would have something rock/goth there....I've never shopped for rock clothes before.

I went to this board where they were talking about that (I just found it on google) & someone said Hot Topic is fake for punk-wannabes. But I didn't really agree that much bc I have a best friend who kind of has a rock style & she loves Hot Topic.

don't listen to ridiculous opinions like that. it's just a store, and it has exactly what you're looking for. i've been shopping there for years...i strongly recommend it.

there will probably be people who come to this thread and tell you to stop trying to be something you're not; DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. you're just trying something new that interests you, not forcing yourself to conform to something you don't like; and anyone who says there's something wrong with that is very naive.

Spencers has stuff like that, too. But it's a more "mature" store. lol

Well, after going to Hot Topic, you could always walk around the mall and explore shops that look interesting to you or that carry the style you're looking for. Good luck with the new style and have fun. :)

My family's giving me a really hard time, though....they're kind of mad that I'm trying to be rock, especially bc I'm trying to copy off Gina's style...but I'm not just copying her, I really like her style! Yea, that's true, I'm still trying to find the right style & looks for me....and I don't really care what my family thinks of me anymore bc I just wanna be who I wanna be w/o them bugging me so much about it.
