Until Season 2, she was an aspiring journalist major, but when I saw her in Season 1, her career goals weren't really defined at all...But when they made mention of her writing careers, I noticed they even tweaked her character a bit. They didn't make her look like a dummy in the 2nd Season...She had smarts and a personality. She was so different in the 1st Season...to me, that is.

I know exactly what you're saying. To me it seemed like Natalie grew up a lot over the summer. She seemed much more mature in the second season than in the first. Also the second season Natalie seemed like a whole new character compared to the first one.

I remember in the first season the ep where they had career day Natalie wanted to be a beautician and I think Tootie did to and they wanted to work on there sasooning or something like that.

That's the one I remember...but I believe that sasooning dream was history by the time 2nd Season came. I am so glad they matured her character a bit and not go the Buddy Lembeck way because the writers seem to make Natalie's intelligence almost dropped insignificantly each episode. While they did keep her quirkiness and bubbly attitude, I am so glad the writers decided to mature her character and not make Blair look smarter than her.
