I am glad I got her last interview, even in 1990 she sounded just like she did in 1964. I think after GI she should have done voice over work on cartoons besides the GI cartoons.

Was watching an episode I have on The 2nd season DVD set of threes company last night and it was the episode where jack went to work in the flower shop with janet, well natalie came walking in and right away tried to jump in front of another customer and when the other customer who was being helped before her asked her why she was interupting she replied oh I just don't like to wait. Those natalie moments, I sure do miss her.

:) A excerpt from Rusell Johnson's book that to me was true Natalie Shaffer:
Natalie Shaffer loved to use the Howell name to her advantage. "My telephone lines were down from a storm so I called the telephone company and got nowhere," she said. "Then I told them I played Mrs. Howell on Gilligan's Island, and they sent a man right over!"
:)
never another like her.:(

It was so bizare, this dream I had the other night...
I dreamed I was standing in my kitchen, talking to my cousin, when suddenly, Natalie Shaffer appeared. The dream was rather long, so I won't relay it all, but she was so cool and so personable... the dream itself is hard to forget

:tv: yes sometimes i think that Natalie Schafer who play MRS HOWELL in the Gilligan's Island TV Series was maybe one of the most overlook cast members in Gilligan's Island but i think that one of the best episodes that i like her in the most is when she play CINDERELLA in the episode Title LOVEY'S SECRET ADMIRER and i think that more people should know about Natalie Schafer she was one of the forgotten people who made Gilligan's Island one of the best Remember Sitcom TV Series of the 1960's,-Hillman
