I'm still contemplating whether or not I should bother watching the whole thing.

i was out and i didn't get home til right before LaKisha went so i missed Melinda.

LaKisha - Points for going out of her comfort zone, but Paula and Simon were right, it was just ok.

Chris R - Starts out AWFUL. The middle is alright, but he ends it really well...not bad, although it's far from his best.

Haley - Mediocre vocals, good performance. Performance is really the only thing she can rely on to stay now, so I guess she suceeded? It was alright.

Phil - I know I ragged on him a lot in the past, but he impressed me. Based on vocals alone, it's the best so far, although it could've been more exciting.

another pretty bad night so far, although it's not as much as a trainwreck as i had originally expected.

Jordin - This wasn't her best performance, but it was decent.


Blake - Possibly the best of the night. He was really good.

Sanjaya - He actually did...*gulp* decent.

- Bottom 3 will be Haley, LaKisha, and Phil. In a shock exit, LaKisha will leave.

Melinda- She was ok. not that great
LakIsha- Pretty great!
Chris R-Wrong song for him, it was just ok

Bottom 3: Haley(great outfit gets you 1 point), Sanjaya(what look was he going for tonight? My younger sister thought he looked 30, lol), and Phil(but it should be reversed).

Even Melinda and Lakisha I found to not be that good(for them). This was a boring night and a bad idea for a theme.

Either Haley or Phil goes tomorrow. If Haley stays, it'll be solely because of her short shorts.

I actually hope you are right. I am SO unbelievably bored with this season. I have zero excitement about it and think this is the worst group ever, so a shocking(well not really this week I guess) boot might be just what this show needs.

I hated AI last night.....not just bc Gina wasn't there to make it exciting, but just bc everyone, but Haley & Chris, did really bad, imo! I voted the whole 2 hours for Haley! Dial idol says Lakisha's going home. I don't really care who goes home as long as it's not Haley or Chris....the only one I really liked in the first place was Gina!

I liked Blake, Chris R's and Jordin's performances best!!! :)

I actually thought Sanjaya was halfway decent...his pronunciation of the words in Spanish weren't as bad as I expected them to be! I think it was his best performance to date!

My guess is that Haley or Phil are going home.

Everyone is saying LaKisha is going home....I think that would be a surprising twist. I'm just not a LaKisha person though...

I was surprised that Melinda's performance was less than stellar.

There is widespread speculation that Lakisha is going. Apparently it's a "huge shocker". Could be Jordin too, but I kind of doubt that(although to be honest, I think that would be a bigger shocker than Lakisha).

i'm 99.9% sure it's LaKisha, some guy posts rankings every week, has been right every week, and now he says LaKisha is going. it wouldn't shock me at all, honestly.

as for DialIdol, it says anyone but Blake is going home. they've got it wrong every week this year for the most part, so don't believe them.

I thought last night was just one big snoozefest, probably because I don't care for that kind of music style and I absolutely can't stand J-Ho. I didn't think any of them did very well at all.

Melinda- At least Simon finally got to insult her :) I still thought she was the best of the night.
Lakisha- I lost my love for her a few weeks ago. Whatever she does, Melinda and Jordin do much better.
Chris- They voted off the wrong Chris two weeks ago.
Haley- To me, she's a cross between Mariah Carey and Britney Spears. I don't think she's good at all. Well, maybe she's good at making men drool ;)
Phil- Still my man. Wasn't one of his best performances last night, but it was one of only two performances last night I really liked.
Jordin- I always hated that song she sang.
Blake- I turned off the TV at this point.
Sanjaya- Wasn't watching.

My bottom three last night are Chirs, Haley, and Lakisha. (I know Sanjaya definitely won't be in the bottom three.) I think Haley or Chris should definitely go home.

The only performances I liked last night were Melinda and Phil. I hope next week with Martina McBride is so much better. I think Martina is a great singer and I love country music.

I'm glad Haley is gone. She was the female Sanjaya this season, IMHO. Hopefully, Sanjaya's luck will finally run out next week. I hope either him or Chris goes next week. They sent the wrong Chris home a couple of weeks ago, IMHO. I can't stand listening to Chris's whiny, nasally vocals.

I'm glad Phil is still safe. I think he's a great singer.

That's really true. I felt bad for Haley, because every time it came for Simon or any of the other judges, but especially Simon to comment on her performance, all they really talked about were her looks.

I rewatched the performances earlier for a second time after I watched the performances on YouTube in Vegas at 4:30 in the morning on Wednesday. :D

I enjoyed Melinda's performance the second time I saw it, but it's still one of my least favorite performances from her. It did feel cabaret, just like Simon said.

I liked Lakisha's performance, one of my favorite ones from her yet. I enjoy it when she sings uptempo songs. But again, I agree with the judges about her disconnection with the audience.

Chris's performance wasn't as bad as most people made it out to be. Then again, I'm biased. :p

Haley was awful, though I do love that song.

Phil's vocal was pretty good aside from that painful crack at the end. But it was a boring performance.

Jordin was really good but in the long-term, this one is probably going to be a forgotten/underrated performance from her.

The first time I saw Blake's performance, I wasn't really impressed because I thought he sounded too much like the original. But the second time I saw it I enjoyed it. Flawless vocal, awesome performance.

Sanjaya. :eek: Still weak compared to most of the other contestants, but definitely his best performance by far. I know people are just going to slam it down just because it's Sanjaya, but credit is due where credit is due, so major props to him on this one.

Overall, pretty good night, but not the best.

I think Phil or Lakisha (as the shocker elimination) may go next week, though I think it should be Sanjaya. But it'll depend on performances for me...
