Does it bother you when someone springs a surprise on you out of the blue?

Yesterday me & my son went to visit my mom. When we got home my husband had invited several of his family members over for a fish-fry. This wasn't planned, so I had to go back into town to pick up some items for the
fish-fry. Then I had to help my husband with the cooking. I think my husband should have called me on the cell & talked it over with me before inviting his family over for a meal. I was pretty hot & bothered about it.

That's just bad manners. I don't think anybody likes that.

Now, a happy surprise. A surprise that shows me someone cares about be. That I like. I think. Never had one, that I can recall.

Yeah a happy surprise would be good, maybe you'll get one of those some time soon.:)
But my surprise kind of stressed me out.
