View Full Version : James "Whitey" Bulger
Chris Billings 04-09-2007, 12:03 AM Does anyone know who is in charge of the South Boston Irish mob since Whitey disappeared?
Is he still in charge or has someone else taken control?
Just wondering,
Christopher

compulsive dvd 04-17-2007, 05:35 PM I saw a documentary about some stolen art at a Boston museum and they mentioned that Bulger could have been involved. They also suspected he was in Ireland if I remember right.
Dr. Thong 04-17-2007, 05:56 PM Boston talk radio host and journalist Howie Carr has been covering the Bulger saga for years and has written a best-selling account of it...

If you're a listener of Howie's, you're probably hearing the "ch-ching" inside your head as you read this.
Corky Kneivel 04-17-2007, 06:53 PM The book "Black Mass" was amazing. Its written by a couple of Boston Globe reporters who basically put the whole mystery together and pressured the FBI and local authorities to give up the real story. Even when the corrupt members of both associations weren't doing anything, and in the most extreme cases actively assisting the gangsters, they stuck with this story through two decades. Absolutley appalling the level of corruption that existed there for so long.
The book also details exactly how the World Jai Alai murders went down.
Dr. Thong 04-17-2007, 07:43 PM Howie Carr posts Whitey and related mug shots, arrest reports and associated memorabilia at "Whitey Watch."

Lots of fun stuff there for gangster enthusiasts.
Thiussat 04-17-2007, 07:58 PM The Departed was a good movie, but I hated the ending. I was hoping for more of a "happy" ending. I have to admit the ending was probably quite realisitic and probable, but I still hated it.
Cheers, kids.
