I need some help big time because I'm freaking out.

I keep getting this error every time I restart my computer:

If I click OK, it freezes. If I click cancel, the computer works normally. But my sound is completely gone. I don't even have the volume control on the taskbar anymore. When I try to open itunes, it says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration."

You guys are smart. Someone must know how to fix this. Because I need my sound. Badly. So help. Please.

Have you tried system restore to see if that helps?

Err...No, I dont do things like that on my own because I'm afraid I'll mess something up. But I'll try it.

Okay seriously, am I just stupid or does technology hate me?
Is this the right place to turn off the updates? Because it wont let me.

EDIT-- Okay I dont know what I did, but it worked. Thanks, Allison!

Okay just kidding again.

My volume control is back, but itunes still says:

And it won't open. This is so frustrating.

I can't help you with the iTunes problem, unfortunately.

Oh for the love of god, I'm having one problem after another.

The iTunes thing was apparently due to the recent update to iTunes and I had to repair Quicktime or something...So I did that and it worked. But NOW UGH...I plugged in my ipod and it came up with a list of 109 songs (all of my purchased songs) and says "(name of song) was not copied to the iPod because you are not authorized to play it on this computer." Whaaaat is going on with my life today.
