Full House...but only because the house they lived seem so small
It wasn't that the house was so small...there were just too many friggin' people living in it!! How many newlyweds would jump at the chance to live in an attic loft and stay there once they had twins?? Just because they didn't want to hurt Michelle's feelings by moving out?? puke: It may have worked had Jesse and Becky moved into a house next door or across the street. That scenario worked out perfectly on Everybody Loves Raymond.

Plus, how many families are that sticky sweet in real life?? The DVDs should include a saccharine warning. puke:

Don't even get me started on Joey. Yeah, he moved in to help Danny with the kids when they were small, but he served absolutely no purpose once they got older. He wasn't even a relative!! If they'd made him Danny's brother or cousin or something, it would've made more sense.

Well, enough of that nonsense...

That's why Don Adams is INSPECTOR GADGET! His character identical to his cartoon series itself... But you have to love him.

RIP Don.

To point out on the Full House comment...

I think Joey is by the far the worst boyfriend in the world. Though Dave did date Alanis Morrisette.

I TOTALLY AGREE... they were the WORST parents... they denied their kids any form of normal teenage entertainment and then did some insane weird thing to teach them a lesson...

also not very real:

Saved By The Bell

Flipper

Lassie

California Dreams

Roseanne (imho-sorry nobody lives like that- in real life the state authorities would be called in to intervene)

Married With Children (in real life-those kids would have been put into state care and the parents in prison for neglect, abuse and being unfit to raise children)

Mister Ed - It's one thing that he talked, but Ed could also do stunts that no horse could do. He could sing (he had a wonderful singing voice) he was a One-Horse Band, he could dial the telephone, he could SURF! There are so many talents Mister Ed had, and yet he was labled "The Talking Horse," lol.

The Brady Bunch - Not so much for the imediate plot of a man with three boys and a woman with three girls getting married. But it was the way that none of the kids (except once in the pilot) mentioned their absent parent (for the boys, it would be their real mom. And for the girls it would be their real dad). Plus once, Jan was talking to Peter and she said "Blood is thicker than water", wanting his vote for something. JAN and PETER are NOT blood related, but they seemed to forget that in the later seasons. Another thing that was unrealistic about the show is how happy they were. That's why the movies were dead on.

The Patty Duke Show - Good show, don't get me wrong. But Identical COUSINS! I don't think so.

Any show from the 1950s and 1960s where married couples slept in twin beds, lol.

The Monkees - Not the plot about four young guys living in a beach house, trying to make it as a band. But all the silly stuff they did in the show.

I think the shows got more realistic to a point when All in the Family premiered. So really all the shows you mentioned from the 50's and 60's but don't get me wrong, Full House and Saved by the Bell and Cosby Show were unrealistic to me.

Right on! I am really sure... a black doctor married to a black lawyer? That happens all the time! And every kid is extremely well-dressed, their problems are artificial, the house is spotless and the oldest daughter looks white! The biggest problem was that the house was not large enough to contain Bill Cosby's ego, so he had to go outside and bore us with his has-been track endeavors. :sleep2:

my problem with this show was that the parents really took too much joy in denying their children any normal form of entertainment (they weren't allowed to watch tv, listen to rock music, go to a concert, ride the subway, go to clubs, go out for dinner, wear make-up, go shopping, go to sleepovers-unless they were the chaperons/host, etc, etc, etc )---

i agree, even when i was in high school i was like "those kids would never be friends"- maybe Kelly, Slater and Zack would be- but no way would they even talk to Screech or Jesse... and i always found it odd that Lisa was like the only person that isn't white in the entire school... and the characters were so stereotypical; and they weren't even real stereotypes; jocks aren't that dumb, there is hardly as much dating in real life (what high schooler looks that good?) etc... and the fact they were all in the same class come on... Jesse is supposed to be a genuis, so wouldn't she be in Advance Placement classes, not the same classes that Lisa and Kelly are in? same with Screech, he's supposed to be valedvictorian, but he was in the same class as Slater and Zack? come on....

You're right...but I did enjoy the time that Mr. Belding sang a completely off-key, cringe-inducing version of "These Boots Are Made For Walking" while the kids played the instruments. Then one by one, the kids walked off, leaving Mr. B to finish the song a cappella. I did laugh. Other than that, puke:

P.S. I still think Mr. Belding's rendition of "These Boots" was better and far more entertaining than Jessica Simpson's.

Speaking of Saved by the Bell, there was one scene that bothered me the first time I saw it and continues to bother me, lol. It's when Lisa's a waitress at The Max, because she has to pay back her father for over charging his credit card. None of the customers like Lisa as a waitress. So what does she do? Slater, Zack, Screech, Kelly and Jessie pitch in and speed up the process in order to get tips faster. So as soon as a customer gets their food, one of the gang would imediately take it away. They made like $36 in tips, lol. Like with that service, anyone would tip them. :)

Another one is "Friends." Like those six people always have time to hang out either at their apartments or at the Coffee House. ;)
