I was hoping that everyrone could say a little prayer for my dog. And to keep him in your thoughts. He has been sick for almost a week now. :( Wednesday night he threw up a number of times and had a really bad case of the shakes. I took him into the vet yesterday and the doctor gave him a shot and some pills for me to give him over the next week. Yesterday afternoon and evening he seemed to be feeling better, but this afternoon he threw up again. He was also shaking a bit again as well. I talked to the vet this evening and she said to keep on eye on him and if he isn't better over the next few days to bring him in again. I am worried sick. :(

are you sure it's not that pet food? my dog was doing the same thing for like 3 days and we found out it was that pet food that contaminated. he's fine now but he was pretty sick for a few days.

No, it's not the pet food. That was my first thought as well. The vet ruled that out though. Also, he's never had any of the pet foods that have been recalled. I'm happy to hear that your dog is feeling better.

I pray for your little doggie. I certainly hope it's not the bad pet food. It's amazing how we've got a crisis on our hands with that stuff all over the country. :(

I will most definitely say a prayer for your dog, Mike. I know the feeling of having a sick animal. They get that helpless look in their eyes. They count on us for everything, and we feel helpless. The poor little sweetie. I could cry just thinking about it. Please keep us posted. I wonder what's wrong with him. Take good care of him. Don't let him out of your sight, and give him extra TLC. I'm sure you're doing this anyway. It has to be draining for you and your family too. Take care.

Oh Mike I am so sorry. :( I hope your dog will be okay. I'll say a prayer for him and keep you both in my thoughts. I know first hand how tough it is when your pet gets sick. They're like members of your family.

I will surely keep your dog in my thoughts and prayers. I hate hearing abt any pet not feeling good. It's so hard because they can't tell you what hurts them. Just like babies.

I'm sorry I'm late to this thread Mike, it's been awhile since I've gone down the board. I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. :( It's one of the worse feelings in the world seeing your pet go through pain, especially when you have no idea what's ailing them. I will say a prayer for him, and hope that God does a miracle for him on this Easter Sunday!!! Hang in there!!! :)

Thanks everyone. So far there has been no real imporvement with Duke. :( Earlier today he seemed to be feeling better, but then he threw up this afternoon. At times he seems okay, then at other times his is so lifeless it scares me.

Thanks for the update, Mike. I'm still praying.

I'm afraid that Duke isn't doing any better.:( I took him back to the vet on Monday for more tests (including X-rays) , shots and medication. There has been no improvement. He is still dehydrated and is unable to hold down any food. The vet is beginning to fear that Duke may have cancer. :( I would like to thank everyone for keeping Duke in their thoughts and prayers. The last week has been one of the most difficult in my life. It is simply killing me to see him like this. :(

I'm so sorry :( That's horrible, poor thing. I really do hope he'll get better.
