Mom Carried Six Kids Longer Than Anyone

Stony Brook, N.Y. -- In 1997, the four Boniello sisters and their two brothers -- only about 2 pounds each -- set a U.S. record for the longest sextuplet pregnancy when they were born at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Thursday, personalized cakes were presented to thriving fourth-graders Trifon Robert, Olivia Fredericka, Sabrina Juliet, Gerard Martin, Sophia Betty and Stella Raquel, who turned 10 years old on March 24.

Mom Beverly Boniello was pregnant 29 weeks and a day. A normal pregnancy is about 10 weeks longer.

She said her kids are blessed. Usually, premature sextuplets can be at risk for developmental or neurological problems, but the Boniellos said their children are doing fine.

Both parents said they've tried to provide as normal a lifestyle as possible avoiding publicity for the past decade.

D'oh! I posted here, thinking that was them... But yeah, I was thinking of the McCaughey septuplets (the kids you're talking about). They were born near the end of '97.
