After joking about his deceased father in a recent interview, Disney has deemed Keith Richards the person they'd least like to have promote their upcoming family film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."

The Rolling Stones guitarist had told music magazine NME that he snorted his father's ashes with cocaine, a claim which he later insisted was just a joke. But the joke's on him now that the studio producing the expected blockbuster is distancing itself from the rocker, who makes a cameo in the film.

"When [a senior Disney publicist] forwarded the [Richards] story to me ... I thought, 'How are we going to spin this?'" says Dennis Rice, Disney's senior vice president for publicity Wednesday, April 4. "Keith won't be doing a lot of publicity for this movie."

Richards, 63, makes an appearance as Teague Sparrow, the father of Johnny Depp's character Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End." Depp reportedly based his character's odd mannerisms on the rock 'n' roller and Warner Bros. animated skunk Pepe Le Pew.

A release date has yet to be set.
