Just Gomer Part:

Shazaaaam! Gomer Becomes a Marine!

America's favorite gas station attendant, quickly became America's favorite befuddled Marine, as Jim Nabors' career change moved him less than 10 yards from the set of Wally's Service Station, to the set of the Camp Pendleton Marine Base - all on the Forty Acres backlot.

Camp Henderson Barracks, Gomer Pyle, USMC
This area was also the location for the home and farm of The Real McCoys
television series which ran from 1957-1963.

This is very cool site about 40 acres , which is where most of the great shows were shot.

Google Forty Acres Set ;)

TONS of cool stuff

allot of the time they used the same sets for other shows ;)

The Real Mc Coy's was The Gomer Sets/Area

Early 1963

Late 1963

This view is taken later the same year as the preceding one, and from the opposite side of the backlot, looking west. In it, the sets constructed for The Gomer Pyle marine camp barracks have also been constructed (top left), replacing the sets for The Real McCoys.

Interesting ;)

Damn when your over your over.. They knock youy set down for another in the same year:lol:

If you've ever seen episodes from "The Green Hornet," you can often see the black beauty driving down the streets of Mayberry, the court house and church can easily be seen in the background.

in an episode of Gomer; he's walking down the street in one scene and you can see a set from TAGS in the background.
Also, I saw an episode of BONANZA once where a set from TAGS was used in a scene.
