I first saw Maude on a holiday to the states and really liked it, no surprise as I'm a big Bea Arthur fan.
Its a show not shown here in the UK so its great having it on DVD.
I've already got the first seson of "Good Times" on DVD,so its great seeing Esther Rolle as Florida in the show that led to "Good Times".
No one can do a withering look like Maude and the talented cast are all firing on all cylinders.
Maude is such a drama queen but her heart is in the right place,the episodes where Maude is pregnant were really well acted,glad its on DVD.

I'm excited too. I thought it would never come to DVD!.....I watched the entire set in a week. I used to watch the show when I was little, but I didn't really get it all. I watch it now, and I'm really into it. I understand everything they`re talking about now, which is always a plus. I LOVE all the talk about politics. I also LOVE all the debating that goes on, in every episode.

I agree Maude is a drama queen. I love that about her. It`s so funny when she gets mad, and starts yeling at everyone. The acting is top notch. And your right about her withering look. Nobody does it better! I crack up whenever she does it. She's talented. I sure wouldn't be able to do that without LMAO.....I also die laughing whenever she says GOD`ll Get You For That....! (And I NEVER laugh at characters` specific catchphrases).
