I'm deaf, and was soooooooo dissapointed to see the college years weren't closed-captioned. Season 1-4 had subtitles so I could watch it on my portable DVD, but season 5 I had to watch on regular TV, since it was only CC, but college years didn't have either! I was frustrated! Recorded them on DVD from TBS, but the CC jumps every 20 seconds, so it's no fun!! You would think if the earlier years had CC, the college surely would have them! GRRRRR!

Different studio. Lions Gate produced the DVDs for 'The Original Series.' Image Entertainment was the studio that released The College Years. Image also released all 7 seasons of The New Class on DVD and likewise skimped on any subtitles/closed captions for those releases.

Don't have a clue as to why though. Just plain laziness?

I am also deaf and I am pissed the college years doesn't have closed caption either since I liked the college years better than the high school years, yeah, all the new class seasons doesn't have closed caption either I didn't care for it since the new class sucked
