I think Ted Baxter takes the cake in this category. He brought new meaning to the terms "buffoon" and "incompetence".

Then I would choose Detective Ron Harris (Barney Miller). Harris may have had his problems but low self-esteem was not one of them.

I def. have to agree about Ted. You can't get much more egotistical than that! LOL Also, Karen and Jack on W&G both seem to think pretty highly of themselves. Not sure I can think of anyone else. Ted is def. in class by himself on this one!

Definately Jack and Karen. They're hilarious but they get on my nerves at the same time.

Bill McNeal (the late Phil Hartman) of "NewsRadio"

I want to say Roy Biggins of "Wings" but he seemed to have a very low self-esteem and used a big ego as just a cover.

Fonzie from "Happy Days" ... but with good reason! LOL

I always thought that Marcia Brady had a mild case of narcisstic personality disorder. I know this is off topic but Jan I think had a mix of paranoia and histrionic!!!

On Welcome Back Kotter, Vinnie Babarino had a good size ego, even though he was a sweathog.

Hawkeye Pierce on M*A*S*H*.
He could get very egotistical at times. And self-righteous. And annoying.
But yet I still like Mash!:D

Peggy Hill from "King Of The Hill" had one of the biggest egos in Sitcom history.
