The one with Telly Salvalas in 1979 because it was said that the tension between Polly Holiday and Linda lavin was obvoius in that episode.

I still want to see the episode where Linda Lavin and Martha Raye sing "Do You Think I'm Sexy". Yes, I know I'm weird. I'm also a glutton for punishment.

 I like the episode because I LOVE the interaction between Flo and Alice. I think that they would have been great roomies, that would have been some great comedy.

Brie, I love how Flo got on Alice's nerves. It shows that you can work with someone, but if you had to live with them, that's another story. And the interaction is most definitely hilarious like you said.

Monika, that episode with Martha Raye cracks me up for the fact that seeing Martha in that "sexy disco outfit" makes me  it's just too gross for her to be wearing that and then singing that song! :brent But it is funny overall.

I would have to say that my favortie is that George Burn stopped by the diner and Vera think that George Burn is "God"

Mugged
Mel is mugged by old lady. Vera was mugged too Belle ask Vera why didnt you scream for helped and Vera say Oh I forgot and she scream real loud
and Henry's glasses broke and he say 'Boy that is very high notes".

many other epsoide that I have enjoyed.

I've actually got one of the original scripts from that episode. Supposedly it came from Vic Tayback's estate, but I don't have any authenticity to that (I got on ebay)
Alot of my favorites are in the 2nd and 3rd season, so that's the timeframe I'm looking forward to seeing again :)

I'm going to go down an episode guide and list the ones I remember/love the most...

1. "Alice Gets a Pass"
AAAAAH I love this episode! Many of the best episodes of the show are the ones dealing with Alice (or any of the others) dealing with romantic problems. Great episode. Alice becomes attracted to Mel's old navy pal, an ex football player. After several dates, however, Jack (the guy) tells Alice that he is gay.

2. "Mel's Cup"
I remember watching this one. Alice, Flo, and Vera donate Mel's trophy to charity by accident and when Mel finds out, he is PISSED.

3. "86 the Waitresses"
Mel hires a waiter and pays him more than he pays the waitresses, causing them all to quit.

4. "Alice by Moonlight"
Alice starts singing nights at a local nightclub, causing her to sleep on her job at the diner.

5. "A Semi-Merry Christmas"
One of my favorite episodes! It's the Christmas episode from 1977 and features everybody spending the holidays together in the cab of a semi truck as they travel to Alice's cousin's house. I believe they were in the truck because either Mel or Flo promised to deliver some cargo for a friend.

6. "Oh, George Burns!"
George Burns stops into the diner (the first of MANY guest stars who happen to "stop into the diner") and Vera believes that he is God because he played him in the movie. A very memorable episode.

7. "Mel's Big Five-0"
I distinctly remember Mel being grumpy about turning 50, but secretly expecting a surprise party. He gets to the diner one night, expecting to be surprised, but is really surprised to see that no one is there.

8. "Star in the Storeroom"
Jerry Reed is stuck at the diner en route to a performance because his clothes are ruined.

9. "Block Those Kicks"
THE episode to end all episodes. My absolute favorite episode of the entire series! Alice, Flo, Vera, and Mel all decide to break one of their habits. Alice gives up chocolate, Flo gives up coffee, Vera gives up smoking, and Mel gives up gambling. To help each other out, they all have an intervention sleep-over party at Alice's. Wacky hijinks, of course, ensue. Two things I remember clearly: Mel waking up in the middle of the night to call his bookie and Alice and Flo finding Vera smoking in the closet.

10. "Vera Robs the Cradle"
Vera takes Tommy to the movies and he ends up having a crush on her.

11. "Mel's in the Kitchen with Dinah"
Mel prepares a batch of his famous chili on "Dinah!"

12. "One Too Many Girls"
Alice and Vera are turned off by Belle, who seems to be purposely upstaging them every chance she gets.

13. "Vera, the Vamp"
Vera asks Belle to help her become sexier. I distinctly remember Belle showing Vera how to walk ("You gotta move...like the waves...in the wind...").

14. "Dog Day Evening"
Mel gets security dogs for the diner, but the dogs end up keeping Alice, Vera, Belle, and Mel trapped in the diner when they forget their keys in the dining room.

15. "Henry's Bitter Half"
Henry thinks his wife is having an affair, so he asks Alice to help him make his wife jealous.

16. "Guinness on Tap"
Vera tries to break the world break-dancing record. A clip of Vera dancing from this episode was later to the opening.

17. "Vera, the Torch"
Vera's landlady (Mrs. Walden, played by Linda Lavin) moves in with her after Vera accidentally sets her apartment on fire.

There are some others from throughout the run of the show, but I've gotten tired of looking through the episodes. Doesn't matter though, because I'm looking forward to watching EVERY episode they air.

Iam looking forward to seeing the 2 part episode set in Las Vegas, where Alice dressed up like Robert Goulet. This and all of the Belle episodes haven't showed up on In2TV yet.

If you go to in2tv.com and put "Alice" in their search bar, you'll see that they have posted a lot of their episodes. It looks like they have all of the 1st season up. They're just not on the "Alice" board yet.

Because the Prostitues had too big of a role to be guest stars, I didn't see enough of the Diner and Mel and Flo.

Well, the show is called ALICE, not Alice at Mel's Diner... I didn't care for the episode simply because it was boring. Not one of my faves at all.

For those who may have noticed, the one blonde prostitute was played by Caren Kaye. She was an actress who was very noticeable in the 70's appearing in The Love Boat and other stuff. She appeared also in BLANSKY'S BEAUTIES and the short-lived show MAKE YOUR MOVE.

That was Louise Williams(who went by Liberty Williams back then)who was in the S4 episode of Three's Company "A Camping We Will Go" as Larry's actress girlfriend Laura and in S6's "Critic's Choice" as Chloe,Jack's stewardess girlfriend. She also played Peter Scolari's wife in the short lived 1983 ABC sitcom "Baby Makes Five".

She was also the voice of Jayna on "Superfriends". Nowhere else I know did they have "Jayna" and "Big Guy" on the same bill.
